This tag is for entries on the database which feature characteristics of a command based adventure game. These are adventure games where the player selects options on an menu listing possible commands (e.g. talk, examine, talk, move, etc) that are used to progress through the narrative and puzzles. A lot of games with this tag are direct precursors to visual novels and are solely included on the database on that basis, therefore their presence on the database should not be used a reason to include games that are not visual novels.
