Trait: Netori (their SO is stolen)
Traits > Subject of > Sociosexual Events > Netori (their SO is stolen)
A character with this trait is subject of netori, which is the stealing of their significant other, a very close friend, or in some cases, a close relative. This could happen by someone seducing, coercing, blackmailing, outright raping their partner or through other techniques. The trait does not describe someone "stealing" their unrequited crush or a potential hero(ine) on a different route, as the the close ties between the partners and their forcible separation is important to the netori/netorare fetish.
It doesn't necessarily mean that the loved one is literally stolen, but the negative feelings experienced by the character might make it seem so.
Netori/Netorare is more than a simple act of infidelity, but the fetishization of jealousy and other negative feelings commonly associated with it. The one who loses their loved one almost always finds out about the situation and suffers from jealousy and the feeling of helplessness arisen from an inability to change anything. The one committing netori and/or the stolen loved one might rub it in by humiliating the loser in private or in public.
Please apply the (Engages in) Netori trait to the character doing the stealing, and (Subject of) Netorare trait for the character being stolen.
