Matsutake Tokuyuki was born July 29, 1967 in Japan. He is an animator and designer and a member of Studio Deen. Aside of working on anime he has also worked on several games, mostly the Tales of series, where he served as animation supervisor on the animated sequences in most of the series' games.

Matsutake is known for his sense of timing, which gives his animation often a stop-motion like feeling. He studied as animator under Nakajima Atsuko, under whom he also worked often on productions like Ranma or You're Under Arrest. He does also team up often with animator Suzuki Hirofumi, which has influenced his drawings.
