This is exciting news. At least now I'll be able to play it just to see what's up with all its historic influence on the medium.

@3 It's a steam release, 5pb never releases eroge besides its all-ages versions and the remake never had ero to begin with.

3 big factors pointing to the inevitability of no ero.Last modified on 2018-03-25 at 17:57

So in remake there wil be no H-scenes?? It's a legendary novel, why did they do this? So pity...

@4 Even if the adventure game part is a pain, I'd say go for the original if only because there are some plot related controversial things that might be censored in the all ages edition in a way that changes the plot significantly.

Indeed, go for the original, it'll definitely be worth it.

Literally every one of these "controversial things" you think might be missing in the remake made the original's story objectively worse.
I honestly don't know how anyone can defend the porn in this game. This game is probably the best example of a potentially good visual novel that was completely ruined by infantile porn writing.

Man im fated to not play this game. The original had nameable protag? Lol translation removes it. Game has a remake? Lol the nameable protag feature was removed. For shame.

I only said H-scenes will be good and all.

Just looking at the summary, I think this is a game I'd be okay without h-scenes.
Seems like most people are stuck in the mindset that less is less, but in cases like Little Busters, sometimes more is less.
As for the art, to me, it doesn't look too bad, although the artstyle of the original isn't quite my cup of tea.
This remake probably won't get an official translation because 5pb., so I guess I'll bank on the Steam version getting a fan translation.Last modified on 2018-05-05 at 09:48

if the story is good having porn or not doesn't matter. though it must be really good like Root Double's level to be worth playing

the art in the new one looks quite good, why would it be bad

the worst thing would be the newest version won't support English, so it will take years for the new one to get translated. well i guess you could play the original to understand everything lul

Yeah, but Yu-No design is different from the original and other characters too, some characters are not exist, as I suppose, in the remake.Last modified on 2018-05-05 at 09:59

@9 I'd say that the incest is absolutely necessary for the admittedly kind of weird ending. That and maybe the sort of cannibalism. They seem like things that will be cut out of the all ages edition more for "reasons" than anything else.

@12 The issue isn't apparent from the base concept, but rather in some controversial plot twists that might have gotten cut in the name of making the game more clean. For example, in the all ages version of Fate/Stay Night, they removed all references to Shinji raping his sister

#16, about Fate/Stay Night: I didn't know it, interesting fact, as I played only in standard, 18+ version. Anyway in All ages versions many scenes are removed, which are necessary for novel's plot. Why they release all ages versions in the first place? Very interesting. I doubt kids will buy novels by themselves in Japan or in other countries....

@9 WTF you meant "objectively worse"? Maybe it makes story subjectively worse for pure people with high moral standards, lol. Romantic relationships without sex are no longer considered as "romantic", moreover in this story incest, netorare and netori important to overall plot.

Well, considering what kids usually start watching porn and masturbate at age of 11-13 years all this "all age" is just absurd bullshit for moralfags.

From what I understand there is no additional plot in this new version, on contrary it have some important scenes removed - in this case there is no real reason to wait PC release or wasting time to translate new version. Even in original version art wasn't bad at all, from what I remember there even was voiced translated version of it.

@18: You missed the point of the post you are quoting. Also your post itself is... questionable.

The shittiest part of the remake is Kanna's voice. They made her completely emotionless, unlike her Saturn voice where she sounds like a normal person.

Not caring for the new visuals. The pixel art is a large part of the charm for me.
