#25 All Spike Chunsoft TLs were fairly good so far (and I don't mean Danganronpa as it was translated by NISA), so your concerns about translation quality are likely unfounded.

428's translation was rather good. Zanki Zero's, from the screenshots I've seen, seemed less consistent but still quite okay.

Do you know what? The fact that they are using western name order (seriously this thing is ultra retarded, Japanese writers are using western name order in heir own work for foreigners in most cases, not mentioning about translations that are always using original name order, not Smith John) and they got rid of honorifics is yet alone completely off putting for me. Especially if they doing it in visual novels and other highly Japan focused games. There's no excuse for americanizing their TLs and I'll never support crap like this. I would gladly support fan translators that are keeping their script as close as possible to original instead.
Let's be real, normalfags are not into games likes this anyway. So translation butchering and censorship is just pathetic.Last modified on 2019-05-23 at 06:35

From one of the replies to the tweet: "You really dont need to draw attention to minor edits like this. You just lure out the toxic weebs."
I almost want to agree with this. Overblown reaction as always.
#29 Another one of those "no honorifics, no buy". Get real, that has no impact on translation quality.

Get real, you opinion is not the only opinion.
If you don't care about accuracy, it's really not my concern. If they are using western name order and cutting of honorifics in game like Yu-No, then it's only natural how the whole translation will be done. It's always like this.
But that's really not surprising if you're quoting and shilling literally the most retarded tweet from all of these comments. Only complete retards are supporting any form of censorship (including culturalization of course) and using idiotic buzzwords like "weeb".
It's really simple for me (any many other people, as you can see above that tweet of shitty SJW spikesoft) - game is altered and censored = no buy. Buying something like this means supporting censorship.
As I said above, I would gladly support fan translators that are doing proper work with dedication and without pandering for normalfag attention.Last modified on 2019-05-23 at 07:02

@30 Also, those changes ("censorship") are for console versions only - the tweet said that PC version won't have them.
Honestly, currently I don't care about honorifics too much, but I really dislike new art style - especially character designs. I might buy this on Steam some day to show some support (but then, Elf is no more, isn't it?), but from what I have seen up until now, old TLWiki version with voice patch is vastly superior for me.Last modified on 2019-05-23 at 07:03

#32 Yes, the PS4 version even offers a poster with full view from below of the nurse's panties lol. The game also has M+ rating, Spike Chunsoft probably pushed the limits of what could be allowed.
Sala Oasis Scene
A sunbeam is placed over Sala’s naked lower body.
That's it. That's all it is. They didn't cut content, there's even sex scenes in this game, with images like this.

How is adding a sunbeam not censorship? I'm not saying the game is bad now, just call it what it is censored. I am still looking at the steam one, but would never get the console one. All the people saying who cares, you shouldn't alter someone elses art, real fans should care about that.

Original japanese Windows version (which was port of the PC98 version) also had this kind of censorhsip (some CGs cropped, and on some "beam of light" was placed over naughty bits). Also, in ALL versions female characters suffered from "barbie doll anatomy" - there were no mosaics, instead genitals just weren't drawn at all. TLWiki's translation restores uncropped/uncovered PC98 CGs, but the second point still stands.
Considering all this, stirring up shitstorm over such mild "censorship" in PS4 version (especially knowing current Sony's strict stance on sexual content) is truly ridiculous. YU-NO was always censored in some way, even by its original creators, and any "real fan" (whatever that means) should know that, instead of throwing silly tantrum over one obscured CG in console version.Last modified on 2019-05-24 at 06:10

I'd argue that this isn't on Spike Chunsoft as well. But they still deserve it, after all they willingly self-censored before. That isn't just forgotten.
