VNDB 2.16: Double the Fun

|< report >Since I didn't add any of the planned features in the previous update, I thought it'd be a nice idea to make up for that by implementing two major new features!|
- Added permanent release and VN filters
Go to the release or VN browser, hit "filters" and use "save as default" to set filters which you'd like to apply automatically to most of the listings on VNDB. These filters are not applied to user lists or lists used for moderation (e.g. the tag links or history pages).
(My server is going to kill me for adding this feature, let's hope it won't be used too much :-P)
- Implemented RFC-01.
The release list "play status" item has moved to be VN. Statusses have been converted automatically from the old release list feature and *should* be correct. In some cases this automatic conversion may have selected the wrong status. You might want to check your list and check for errors.
- Greatly improved the "My visual novel list" page.
This affects everyone who links to this page to share his votes, see this announcement for more information. Also re-added the possibility to add (public) notes to your VNs.
- Improved "My votes" page
There are now more links on the site pointing to this page (including one in your user menu), there's a first-character-selector like on your VN page, and it's possible to change/remove votes from that list. The latter feature isn't all that efficient (UI-wise), but can come in handy in some situations, like removing your votes on VNs that have been deleted.
- Rewrote the tag filter selection on the VN browser
- Improved multi-page browsing tabs for long threads
- Don't allow edit summary to be the same as the notes/description field
- Removed some rarely-used features from the tag link browser to improve performance
- Changed the way user preferences were stored and handled
- Quite a lot of bug fixes, miscellaneous improvements and potentially new bugs.Last modified on 1970-01-01 at 00:00

So far, nothing really picked my interest there, but i might as well leave my thanks.
Keep up the good job.
Edit: I belive to have found some bug on the filter thinggy.
If you just scroll down the scrollbar on the language selector it will automatically mark the filter for languages, even though i've never selcted anything.
Its not really a compromising bug, but i still felt, like reporting. =\Last modified on 2011-01-02 at 13:34

Never noticed since I always use my scroll wheel to scroll, which doesn't cause the filter to be enabled. Luckily it doesn't affect anything, since a filter isn't applied when nothing is selected. It's just a bit counter-intuitive.

|< report >Thanks for always enhancing vndb.|
A small comment : the save as default shouldn't be on the left side ( old place for apply ) for better ergonomy : i happened to accidently push the 'save as default' since it used to be the place for 'apply' : You will have lots of users clicking on it and banging your server!
