It doesn't run well; there's no audio
is this digest enough?
Also, I don't really need to play Kichiku rance right?

Haven't played this so no comments but IMO,Kichikou Rance is worthwhile to play, - the game isn't bad and nearly every plot point in Kichikou Rance makes an appearence in the main series either in its full original form or slightly changed.

IV introduces and develops several characters that reappear in IX and X - it isn't necessary, but it's nice to have. If you absolutely can't get it to work, you can skip it and just revisit it when 04 inevitably comes out.
4.1 and 4.2 aren't really connected to IV and they aren't really worth playing either way. It marks the first reference to Ludo-Rathowm and the first appearance of a Holy Gal Monster, but most of these concepts are explained far better in later games.
Kichikuou isn't necessary, but you should play it anyway. A lot of concepts/characters are revisited in future games, and it's generally one of the absolute best H-RPGs ever made.
