< report >Please don't confuse people with your needlessly sensationalist posts.

Bokuten was advertised as an all-ages edition on Steam, while actually all adult material was included in the game, only not enabled. That was done to keep the adult patch minimal sized - it simply enabled the h-scenes that were already present in the build.

Steam took issue with that, as they only now noticed that. They removed Bokuten and requested the actual removal of all adult content from the build that they have labeled as all-ages.

So, it's actually similar to San Andreas Hot Coffee incident more than to any other...

and am I supposed to believe that 12 year old french girls will be the next hacker 4chan? if its not accessible without hacker 4chan levels of game engine tinkering it may as well not exist.

it'll be one thing if MG just placed a poor lid on the adult content and H. how poor is the question.

< report >No hacker skillz required. People on reddit immediately checked and extracted the adult CGs from the all-ages build to show that Valve is telling the truth.
So, yeah, a 12 year old hakka gurl probly coulda ha' dun it...

< report >From what I heard, Mangagamer did not deliberately leave all the H content present in the archives, they had removed almost all of it and it was meant to be added by a big patch, but they missed a couple of HCGs. Less than ten.

So it was an in-between case. There was content in the game that wasn't supposed to be there, but it wasn't as egregious as "we shipped the porn version".

>if its not accessible without hacker 4chan levels of game engine tinkering it may as well not exist.

That is LITERALLY what the hot coffee incident was about, though? The content was not accessible in the game but they were punished for having shipped it under a non-AO label.

It remains to be seen whether Steam will reinstate the game now that Mangagamer has put out an update to remove the remaining CGs.

People on reddit

aka not 12 year old french girls. who is this "all ages" crap is supposed to be protecting again?

the way I see it this is just a usual case of your mom finding out that you're hiding porn under your bed. people on reddit? okay. so this is just people exaggerating (again) when people find out where you hide your porn.

and moralfags won't shut up about it as usual.

... okay okay. point taken. if only to make these moralfags shut up. *sigh*. at some point you gotta admit even steam is probably fed up with all these whining crap from cancer groups of people who just won't shut up.Last modified on 2020-08-02 at 21:13
