This is sort of awkward to use because the icons are so tiny. If you don't immediately recognize the (tiny) cover, you're forced to zoom in to obnoxious levels to verify what game it is. Would be nice if the icons had VNDB links or at least titles on mouseover.Last modified on 2019-06-12 at 11:26

You don't recognize the covers of stuff you have read? I had no problem. The counter-intuitive coloring was less to my liking (green is not supposed to be something negative and without the "trash" I would have put the VN in the wrong order).

It's not about you publishing your private list but about making customized rankings like "Best SF VN".
150 Visual Novels To Tier: Popular ones, Niche Ones, Japanese Only, EVNs, Otomes, Memes, etcOf course, none of the 21 guys who made a VN list understood that...
The list is way too incomplete anyway to be of any use. Hard to make a "EVNs" ranking when, at first glance, there is only localized JVN here (apart maybe four exceptions).
It's pretty easy to fix that like I see you just need to upload a set of pictures, name it and link it to a category. As I see it (thought to myself: why am I wasting any time on this website in the first place????), you should start by making a VN category and then upload sets of specific themes.
It's a three-tiers hierarchy. Category>Theme>Custom.
Applied to VN, it could give you: VN > SF/Characters_from_X/VN_with_bath_scenes/Only_virgin_heroines > Best_battleship/Hottest boy/Sponges/Most_blood.
(inb4 I know you can change the colors but I was talking about the default)Last modified on 2019-06-12 at 22:24

Why bother when your visual novel list does the exact same thingI assumed it was a community engagement activity rather than designed to create useful output.
Though as Eacil points out, it has functionality that a userlist does not. For example, using VNDB's interface I don't see a way to rank the netorare games I've played by the rating I gave them. Also, perhaps my ratings don't necessarily correspond to the tiers I'd assign them (e.g., my ratings are by personal preference but my tier list would be more of a recommendation to others).Last modified on 2019-06-12 at 23:36
