|I tried to create two similar tags that got both disapproved, the tags were meant for games where one character that isn't the protagonist falls in love with one of the main heroines/heros of the game like this one(SPOILER, be careful), but i didn't accept the reasons the mods gave me:|
In love : Here the mod didn't understand the purpose of the tag since i explicitly wrote "this doesn't apply to the protagonist", but ok, some editors don't bother reading the tags anyway even when they're this short.
Non-protagonist love : Here i tried to be more clear and straight to the point, but he says that the tag can be misused, but, how? What are the potential misinterpretations here? I fail to see where is the ambiguity in my description, and is not hard to figure out if one character likes the other in a VN. Tags like this one are way more confusing than mine in my opinion.
I would like us to have this particular tag since i can wait interesting developments in the game such as:
* The protagonist competing with another man for his girl.
* The heroine/hero has other partners when you don't choose his/her routes rather than being single.
* If his rival is his friend, he stops being friends with him because woman, and his friend can turn into a villain (never saw this though),...Last modified on 2019-07-09 at 06:01

|Holy shit, these were denied a year ago, took your sweet time to object. :D|
I probably wasn't the one denying these, since a year ago I was fully AWOL as far as I remember, but I 100% agree with the trait being thrown out, would have done the same, for the same reason.
I also agree with this iteration of the tag getting denied, as the description specifies that it is between a hero / heroine and a side character, while the name does not imply that, so the tag could and would be used for other things than intended.
With that being said, I think the concept is useful though and would very much worth a tag. Trait... unsure about that, as this is more of a thematic thing for the VN than a character trait. Now, the issue is, how to make sure that people don't confuse this with Netorare and Netori, because technically, using your old description, most VNs tagged with those two could also be tagged with Non-protagonist love, which defeats the whole point.
I mean, I guess the name Heroine with Alternative Love Interest (Non-NTR) would do, but at this point we are getting into the ridiculous territory with super long names, so something a bit more concise would be nice, except I can't think anything better right now.

Heroine with Alternative Love Interest (Non-NTR) would doWould such a tag apply to Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!?
Because Kazama Shouichi falls in love with Kawakami Momoyo (only in Momoyo's route though). And Morooka Takuya loves Shiina Miyako (but doesn't do anything about it). Minamoto Tadakatsu loves Kawakami Kazuko (and doesn't do anything about it except for Kazuko's route). And none of the gals -thankfully- gives a damn about those non-protagonists' love.
Also there's this weird case about Oshitari Azumi. Oshitari Azumi loves Kuki Hideo throughout the series and she's not a heroine, that is, till Watashi ni Koishinasai! A-1. Would that count? Which one of those (one-sided) loves would, if any, count for the said tag?Last modified on 2019-07-09 at 10:25

how to make sure that people don't confuse this with Netorare and Netori
I thought someone would say that, well, why can't we use both(And sometimes the one doing the NTR is just some evil retard who sleeps with anyone in front of him and doesn't love the girl)? we already have several tags very similar to each other, like:
Witch Protagonist with Mage Protagonist.
Secretary Protagonist with Office Lady Protagonist
Noble Protagonist with Ojousama Protagonist and Royal Protagonist
Random Choices with Blind Choices (I think?)
Well, i don't see this as a problem.
Would such a tag apply to Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!?
Yes, i already played this game and everything you said fits the tag, but this part wasn't in my mind:" Oshitari Azumi loves Kuki Hideo throughout the series and she's not a heroine, that is, till Watashi ni Koishinasai! A-1", i thought only in cases where the side-character loves the heroine, and not the other way around, but what you said here would be nice too, given the name warfoki proposed.Last modified on 2019-07-09 at 17:05

i thought only in cases where the side-character loves the heroine, and not the other way aroundOr you can have a tag specific to this, like: "heroine in love with a non-protagonist character".
And my original tag can be replaced as : "Non-protagonist in a love with a heroine".
My emphasis in the word "Non-protagonist" is because i want to include everyone that isn't the protagonist, so things like a heroine being in love with another heroine or hero at the same story also enters in the tag, and not just support characters or antagonists or whatever.
