< report >Unfortunately in Koihime there is only four endings. It's dissapointing but I would be surprised if there would be ending for all heroines given their number. I would like if there would be at least 7 endings, one for each general and harem. I don't know why there is only 3(excluding harem). While each of those 3 heroines were Kazuto's first generals other 3 also should have ending as they also were important.

Props to you for completing 4 routes while hating the characters. I'd probably just be able to do one or two if I like them and none if I hate them >_>

So in my case I'd never get to the harem ending, if that's what you mean.
3+1=4 if that's relevant as well.

< report >if in the normal ending, you will get 1 girl and the rest (assumed) cease to exist while in the harem ending, U saved all 25 girls, includes some of your favorites, which are not main heroines, which (assumed) cease to exist in other normal ending.
That's my reason
I'm just sayin' lol

< report >To be honest, I'm really disappointed with he game's ending count. You have, what, fifteen heroines? And 3 heroine endings? How shamelessly lazy... -.-'
I would count the harem ending as the true ending for two reasons: The "secondary" heroines deserve it, and, more importantly, THE WHOLE FRIGGING GAME IS LEADING UP TO THAT.
Seriously, unless one plays the game in a deliberate way that he/she only pick one main heroine and no secondary heroine in every home base phase, the game plot still assumes the protag had sex with all of them, all of them confess their love for him at some point and she answers them all without choosing one over another until the last moment...
I kinda get it that tucking away the "bonus" ending is a good strategy to force people replay the game again and again, but honestly speaking, it's just cheap and annoying. I would say the game would have been better if they either gave all heroines a route, or made the harem ending the default one with a friggin detailed epilogue showing off all the girls...
By the way, wouldn't an harem-aftermath game be awesome? A game where, after establishing a harem, you have to guide through the protag his daily interactions with x+2 heroines without stumbling upon a School Life style bad ending...
Oh, sorry, I was just talking to myself, disregard this last part... :PLast modified on 2011-03-24 at 01:08

< report >I actually played this game like 3 times
1st time is the 1st run, pretty much running the whole game with aisha ending
then the second one, I went for the rest 2 girls, and I got an option "Think about: RinRin or Shuri"
The last run is to finish up the rest of the sub heroine and choose the option Think about everyone
So it's pretty much 3 run for me
while the first run took me almost a week (I can only play in the evening due to university), the last 2 run I finished it up only in 1 day (Sat)

< report >God dammit, why isn't there a Sousou ending!? D:<
I mean, come on! At first the ending count didn't seem THAT bad, but now that I am at the end of the game, it's just ridiculous!
BTW, there is only one heroine I really disliked in this game, and it's Kan'U. On the other hand, I absolutely love Sousou, her entourage, Sonken, Sonshoukou, Bachou, and... Damn, why do I even list them why I just said I like all of them? I just find it really frustrating and sad that they have no endings (although to be honest, I'm quite satisfied with their "routes"...). Is there some fanfic out there that deals with the issue? :PLast modified on 2011-03-25 at 00:29

< report >I just finished the game with Shuri's ending and... Hell, I'm even more disappointed now!
With "endings" like this (one overly long melodramatic event + a half a minute long "epilogue"), aside of the CGs I could write endings for all the heroines in less than a few hours...
Still, it was a pretty good game, going for the other endings now. :P

P.S.: Yay! I can skip battles now! :DLast modified on 2011-03-28 at 16:07

I hate those types of endings. 4 hours of dragged-on-drama and 2 minutes of happiness before I'm looking at the main menu... just... does... NOT! cut it for me.

That's why I don't play Nakige aka. KEY games anymore...

< report >Well yeah, there is only few endings and those sucks. Even harem but it is better than other three. I would say that endings are weakest point of this game.

Nakige? I don't think that Koihime is nakige. This is something between Nakige and Nukige but I think it is closer to nukige.

< report >I would call say Koihime is about 40% comedy, 40% comedic H-content, and 20% drama/battles.

And yeah, I'm with Echomateria, most nakige endings suck mainly because they lack proper epilogues. Now that I think about it, I could say it's a serious problem of the whole medium. VNs somehow keep forgetting about proper closure (save for a few ones *cough*Hanachirasu*cough*...) and usually end on a 2 minute long "epilogue" where literally nothing happens. So sad... T_T

P.S.: Yeah, I know there are a lot of games with proper epilogues, but their numbers are still abysmal compared to the lackluster ones, so my case still stands. :PLast modified on 2011-03-29 at 14:05
