< report >I kindda feel bad for the VN market...... Damn pirates..... why should they get it free when honest people like myself earn and spend $hundreds$ literally on legit copies of these games... if they didn't pirate the sales would sky rocket through the roof!

< report >the west already has there mind set on "why pay for it when i can get it for free" what they don't realize is that by that motto eventually there will be NOTHING left of the genre to get for free and people still complain about how there are not many English VN's...i cant imagine why.

iv also heard *oh 40+ bucks is a lot to spend on a game with no gameplay so il just pirate it and buy it if i like it <--never happens*Last modified on 2011-03-14 at 03:51

< report >IKR...... man.... I kindda wish I had pirated in the first place..... spending over $700 just doesn't seem worth it if no one is going to translate in the future...... *SIGH* but can't take my money back now..... I mean I'm not FOR pirating but since most people are doing it, it just seems more logical now.....

Did you buy/import Muvluv?

if they didn't pirate the sales would sky rocket through the roof!

Nonsense, there are people who are not even interested in the game, and they download it just to have something to waste time, or people who even don't play the damn thing they pirated. That number is huge, don't assume that the sales will be that many.

the west already has there mind set on "why pay for it when i can get it for free" what they don't realize is that by that motto eventually there will be NOTHING left of the genre to get for free and people still complain about how there are not many English VN's...i cant imagine why.

This post is totally stupid. People spend money on things that deemed to be "good" enough, for them. If the game can not entertain people for what's it worth, then it is not "good" enough to be bought.

Just release good game then you will be awe at the amount of people who buy them. Bad product simply can not survive in the market.

iv also heard *oh 40+ bucks is a lot to spend on a game with no gameplay so il just pirate it and buy it if i like it <--never happens*

I don't know how many people think like that, but if i can spend 40 squids on a book, then I simply can spend 40 bucks on a "game with no gameplay".

< report >Here in our locality, we value generosity. Whoever has one must share it to everyone. Whoever has none must receive at least one. And it's TERRIBLY BAD TO REFUSE OTHERS' GENEROSITY. And it just so happen that people in the internet are generous enough to offer the VNs for free... So why refuse? Why go along the system where moneyhogs grow fat? Why not just pirate the damn VN?Last modified on 2011-03-14 at 05:09

Lol that's funny coming from a person who puts a link on their website telling visitors where to pirate visual novels.

< report >And we didn't even mention the people without drinking water, people who have lost their homes and jobs and the people who are already irradiated.
Too bad about those VN's and anime which are being POSTPONED. Believe me, half the entertainment industry in Japan is based on these kind of things, they aren't going to be destroyed. But we've got to think about the people over there instead of ourselfs.

*Funny how fast those aid-organizations are asking for you to donate money on tv when it's about a poor country where they can put the money in their own pockets. Now most organisations say: Japan is rich. WTH, how does being rich mean that you don't need help?!Last modified on 2011-03-14 at 21:39

< report >Well, you've got to be good in something right?

Anyway, about this game:
How much better is it than Koihime?
Like, i hate how Koihime has multiple heroines but only 3 routes for them. Also i hate the battle system and that they use 4 names. Has that improved?

< report >This game supposedly allows you to side with any of the kingdoms from the 2nd game and whatever kingdom you chose the girls from the 2nd game who were apart of that kingdom become the main heroines.

This gives more ending possibilities rather than in the 2nd game where you could only have an ending with Kan'U (not sure if that's right though, haven't played through the other 2 routs.).

Other than that I've also heard that the games 2d battles have been ramped up to 3d battles and combat is more interactive. Also they have added a few more heroines (like 7 I think?) adding even more girls to chose from...

Other than that some of the character art has changed but after that everything else is pretty much the same.

I personally don't know WHY MG (MangaGamer) translated #2 first.... it would have been WAY better to do this one first since this one is the same thing except with A Lot more features......Last modified on 2011-03-15 at 22:10

more cost. it has more voices, more everything...if they were worried about sales of KM then SKM has no chance in hell of turning profit

and now that they have seen they cant turn a profit SKM will never happen (or it will be a VERY VERY unexpected announcement in the distant future)Last modified on 2011-03-16 at 00:31

< report >She's talking about Harukoi, not Shin. And that project started about half a year before Koihime's release(and thus 'failure') There's also no voice actor complication with that game.

Also, I would advise you to stop referring to Harukoi Otome as the 'first game' in the series as it will only cause confusion. The only connection it has with the Koihime series is that it takes place in the same world(that is, the world that Kazuto lives in prior to being sent to a different universe) and can hardly be called a part of the same series as it is otherwise very much unrelated.

Thank you.Last modified on 2011-03-16 at 05:00
