I only found out about it now through one of my discords, but the translation has been a thing since October 16th 2018.

I saw this in the fuwanovel discord:
As of january 1st 2021 japanese copyright laws have been updated to include manga, vn´s and other forms of media. so there is no longer any gray area in terms of it.
So just a quick reminder that no forms of piracy is allowed on mainsite and forum.
that includes links to translated/untranslated manga & anime.

So i think it is far more likely not the translation-group itself axed the thread, but the forum moderators / admins did.

The message you speak of was sent on the fifth of January, and there are still many fan tl threads up; I have no idea what you are imbibing to connect the two, but I would certainly wish to partake in it. The guy doing the biman 3 tl appears mentally unstable, has a history of joining the discord for the biman 1 tl to argue the virtues of China over the US, getting banned, then making another sockpuppet, and is generally the kind of individual I would expect to randomly delete their own thread.

And do not give me it's out of context reasoning, there was no context and it was in the general chat, a channel where everybody could read this crap!

Thanks for clearing this up! But i do not feel like i did anything wrong with posting this here. The mod on the other hand and i just come right out and say it. Was stupid for posting this in the first place, apparently without thinking as well.
