Which english visual novel company is the biggiest right now. If I had to rank them top 3 would be Sekai Project, MangaGamer and Jast USA.

I think in terms of size JAST is pretty big but just JAST USA makes things a bit less clear.

What does 'biggest' even mean? Most employees? Biggest catalogue? Biggest fanbase? Longest-running?

More precisely I think they are visual novel publishers. I don't think they develop any title, though sekai does some English originals(?).

JAST has a catalogue of 60-65 VNs, including G-Collections and Trial Versions. I'm on mobile so I can't effectively compare JAST's and G-Collections' VNDB pages. They seem to have the smallest amount of bloat-titles attached to their VNDB page. For the purpose of this post I mean by bloat-title any VN that is published on more than one storefront and therefore artificially boosts the catalogue of those storefronts, i.e. WingedCloud or Sunrider series titles but also high-quality localised works like School Days, Grisaia or Imouto Paradise.

I may have miscounted and the way VNs are attributed to MG is a bit different than with JAST but MG came out to something like 120 ± 30 individual entries. Included are Trial Editions and bloat-titles.

Sekai has a whopping 134 ± 5. Trial Editions and bloat-titles included.

Sekai and MG take the cake, both in terms of catalogue size and amount of recent titles. A big percentage of JAST's catalogue is made up of old G-Collections localisations but they have a good amount of recent VNs as well.

I would personally place MG at the top, followed by Sekai and JAST.Last modified on 2019-10-07 at 08:47

I don't see a point in this poll unless NekoNyan and Sol Press is included. While they are not biggest companies out there - they are the most promising ones. Who translates and publish real deal titles - and not tons of low budget crap as others.Last modified on 2019-10-07 at 17:34

MG and Sekai does have a lot of titles, especially Umineko for MG, but personally JAST has the most interesting-over-quantity ratio much more than the other two, (or NekoNyan for that matter). So for me, JAST is “bigger”.
