What VNs shall we play during the quarantine? I recently bought the Japanese version of Newton and the Apple Tree.
Newton to Ringo no Ki
That's going to be my first VN for the quarantine after I finish Acchi Muite Koi Maybe we can get through this together.Last modified on 2020-03-24 at 04:56

I don't understand. What's the difference between a day in quarantine and a day without quarantine? Aren't they the same?

Also: d6#6 as you are not asking for thematically virus related VN (zombies!).

I don't know about what's going on around the world, each country's reaction is different but for me work has been cancelled and all the restaurants and schools have been closed. The governor of my state has said that within the next few days all non essential stores will be closed. Even without places being closed people are practicing 'social distancing' meaning there really is nowhere to go right now.

Meaning I have no work to do, I have no place to go during the day and within the next 7-10 days I expect to be unable to go outside except for essential things such as grocery stores and the pharmacy. I don't doubt that if this doesn't get better and cases start going down many states will enact a type of martial law. We are under partial lockdown with full home quarantine being a possibility.

All in all looking for something to do while under even partial lockdown is pretty important.

My hiki joke went way above your head. I didn't know we allowed non hiki non NEET non nolife here. This place really deteriorated over the years. We even have a mod with a wife. How is it even possible?

Edit: I get fined 135€ if I leave my cubbyhole without a good justification. I have to sign a paper on my honor to do so.Last modified on 2020-03-24 at 08:34

We even have a mod with a wife.
hmm I wonder who...

by the way Barfboy, since you live in Utah that means the virus just reached there recently? it's been a while since everything got locked down here in Indonesia (the fate of living near the origin of the virus). although my job isn't stopping at all since we applied "online work", I've got more free time than before. so I've been very actively trying to finish my playing list.

US has been suffering from the virus for a while now. Today, the death count surpassed 100/day. Really hope this can be contained soon before the economy tank harder than it already is.

@shining17: sadly there is not much to do to contain the virus beside shutting down everything. Where I live virus has hit 2 weeks before US and we are in the middle of the crisis, most places are shutted down. Here they say that we will need at least 2 weeks to reach the climax so I guess it's far from ending into the US too.
I find it rather strange that places like Russia seems quite unaffected by the virus.

Well, most likely than not, Russia underreported their case count, just like any other countries with authoritarian-style regimes (North Korea as a prime example).

Yes in a world lead by economy I guess that's not strange... probably many democratic country would have liked the idea to avoid to shut down too but in the end they'll loose so much consensus from the people that they are obligated to take course of action.

You are wrong, skorpiondeath and shining, Russia did all it needed to prevent the spreading of infection. If you scare or don't like my country, it is your problems. All countries have their own problems, there are no ideal places for everyone.

My government always show true numbers of infected people every day excluding people who may be potentially infected, it isn't known by anyone, of course.

And shining, don't make false presumptions please, you don't know what is happening in Russia to talk about it and Norh Korea too. It is not good.Last modified on 2020-03-24 at 15:12

Nope I have nothing against Russia, I just said I find it strange you have so few cases there, that's all. Even england and US didnt' want to take action and now they are changing their minds...
That's all. If you tell me that your government always show true numbers I don't have any reasons not to believe you, maybe you were lucky in the first place and the virus just spread elsewhere

Edit: I mentioned Russia in the first place because one of my collegue is Russian and she just came back from there (her mother died recently) and she personally told us that there is not an high degree of alert there for the virus.Last modified on 2020-03-24 at 15:55

Skorpion, ok. They in time made appropriate measures not to avoid spreading of the virus here, I admit. People in Russia survive WWII, after that all troubles for us are nothing, that's why we are not so paranoid as other countries.

Not always they say us true things, of course, I also don't like my government to say honest, there are many problems and corruption here. You can always read about it in different mass media if you want. For example, medics and teachers receive very little money in Russia comparing to other countries. As for me, I want to try and pass medical exams to work in another country abroad.Last modified on 2020-03-24 at 16:26

@risus: I live in Italy I guess your corruption problems are not even close to ours, I didn't mean to accuse your country nor offend it nor make it a who's the best country. It was a simple question I was asking myself since we are shutting down everything here, and the disease reached 10% of mortality now of established cases and hospitals are in a big emergency.
I think that countries should invest more in both healthcare and education while possibly minimizing corruption (yes a dream -.-).
I wish you the best luck upon passing your medical exams.Last modified on 2020-03-24 at 16:43

It's already in the vndb procedures to derail the topic to something else entirely.

If only #3 would have shut up about his miserable situation, maybe the thread would have been quietly unliked from /ge before being linked to OP for being a reco thread. But no, people can't stop derailing innocent threads on vndb. I swear, the human nature!Last modified on 2020-03-25 at 07:46

Guys if the thread is entitled "VNs for the quarantine" it's obvious people can start talking about their experience of this virus... yes it's a bit off topic but if it meant to be just a VN suggestion thread it could have been entitled something like "Suggest me something to read", in that I'm with eacil:
I don't understand. What's the difference between a day in quarantine and a day without quarantine? Aren't they the same?
That "quarantine" word just makes people talk, ask about and share stuff about quarantine...but let's derail the thread no more. who wanna talk about the virus (or can move here t13720.
Let's this thread go back to his rails.Last modified on 2020-03-25 at 12:58
