Do you use a tablet to play VNs?

I have had a huge inclination to get a tablet just for VNs, but I also figure there would be compatibility issues.
First and foremost it would need to be a Windows tablet right? But there's probably other hardware requirements. Or maybe not, and I'm overcomplicating it
Do you use a tablet, and if so which one, and does everything you throw at it work?

If you get a surface that'd work. That is quite literally just a Windows laptop without a fixed keyboard/mouse, so it will work with everything Windows 10 would run.
There are Android ports of many VNs, even new releases, but honestly, a mobile port of a VN is going to be worse than its original counterpart (barring rereleases of old games like F/SN) and the prices are occasionally higher than the original games so I wouldn't recommend that route.
My personal recommendation is just buy a 13-inch 2-in-1 convertable laptop. You get the best of both worlds except for weight.Last modified on 2020-06-23 at 22:35

I have played on both a little 8 inch tablet and one of those folding laptops. The 8 inch tablet was more enjoyable to read on by far. The folding laptop I found was just way too heavy to actually be comfortable as a tablet.
That 8 inch tablet worked really well for the few VNs I read on it. I bet it wouldn't do very well for anything with weird gameplay elements though.
