This game really needs the remake.

< report >Indeed but it's not TM being out of business far from it, it's them "forgetting" about it even on their website :/

< report >Well, if you think about it, Type-Moon IS kind of a lazy bunch, they are pretty much leeching on their two franchises for more than twelve years by now...
Still, I hope they will make a remake, even if only to see the Satsuki-route. Hell, I could even imagine some extremely grand remake in Muv-Luv style as well, where one would first had to read through the Near-Side routes to get to the Far-Side routes, then through the Far-Side routes to get to a linear, simplified version of Kagetsu Tohya, then afterwards there would be another linear segment recollecting the basic Melty-Blood storyline, and finally after finishing that, Shiki would wake up... as Satsujinki in the beginning of Tsukihime 2, realizing that all of the above was just a nostalgic dream/vision Len gave him or something. THIS would be and epic remake/sequel. :P

< report >And then you woke up :D
I would _love_ to see this remake, I don't even care about Satsuki route, this would be a nice addition but being able to replay Akiha route in HQ would be enough for me. But I can't really trust TM on this. I don't even believe that Mahoyo will be released anymore!

< report >Meh, HOPEFULLY it will come out in 2012 or 2013 since a demo has been announced at least.Last modified on 2011-11-05 at 04:35

< report >Wait. A demo of what?
Yes, yesterday they announced they will release a trial this december, but it's for Mahoyo, not for Tsukihime.

< report >I meant since Mahoyo trial is coming out, the Mahoyo game will come out in 2012 and 2013 and in turn the Tsukihime remake will come out next soon. Hopefully.

< report >Well, I hope so, but the fact that Mahoyo will probably come out next year doesn't necessarily mean that they will actually work on Tsukihime right after.

Of course, I'd really love to re-read Tsukihime with better graphic and, hopefully, Satsuki's route. I don't care about voices (for me they're not necessary, unless the game itself is written so as certain messages are conveyed more by the tone used by the voice actor than by the text itself).

< report >Of course there's no guarantee and knowing Type-Moon they will probably troll everyone with another Fate series (or another anime project or something) and delay the game for another 1-2 years.

That's why I said hopefully lol.

< report >Yeah, Type-MOON had plans of creating an MMORPG featuring a Grail War setting.
And now it became a light novel series.
Hopefully it still has Shakespeare as Caster.:)

Anyways, to be on-topic there is nothing new about Tsukihime remake. I don't wish to be discouraging but at this stage I'm not even sure Type-MOON is working on it.
Like my example above shows, they have the tendency to just drop projects.

If you ask me though, I'm not really looking forward to the remake. Sure, it would be great. I have no doubts. But the Nasuverse is so large yet relatively undeveloped. There are like 4 works set in this world but certain important parts are still a mystery to us. For example we never saw how the Mage's Association really operates, only heard. And then I said nothing about the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors...

If anything, I would like to see a whole new Visual Novel set in Kinoko Nasu's very expansive verse.

< report >There were recent news of Nasu's future plans, and the Tsukihime remake is still there. But it seems the rest of Mahoyo trilogy and DDD has priority.

< report >Am I the only one hardcore enough to have liked it more with the original OST rather than the alternative? The drawing style didn't bother me at all... but of course, I should replay it to see if it would do so now... In any case I must have a severe bias towards this game.

< report >I thought the ending theme didn't quite fit, but otherwise never had much problem with the BGM or the graphics. Then again, it was my first VN ever, so it could have been that I didn't know any better.

< report >Honestly, Tsukihime wouldn't be Tsukihime anymore without the piano BGM. It's just so... nostalgic. :)

< report >I just want to say that I also liked the original OST more than the alternative. Even now, 5 years after I read this VN, I still listen to 3 or 4 of the songs from time to time.

< report >Hey, let's be positive, maybe Mirror-Moon gets together again and do it in a reasonable timeframe. And if we are at that, maybe it will rain skittles tomorrow. The chance exists. :P
