This game really needs the remake.

< report >I have always believed that you must first read the classics, and then to read all sorts of remakes. You can wait for years until the remake will be released, and you can wait for years until someone will translate it. Imagine how your future child comes to you and says:
- Dad, are you still haven't read Tsukihime? You're so slowpoke! :p

< report >@101 Gaaaaah! Machine translations have polluted my child's way of thinking to the point they can't even speak properly! All this time I thought there wouldn't be any consequences of reading VNs that way, but I was wrong! Such a fool I was!Last modified on 2013-09-08 at 01:53

But I have always believed that you must first read the classics, and then to read all sorts of remakes.

Ah, but you shouldn't do that, because the "old story" is nothing but a huge pile of spoilers that would do nothing but ruin the beautiful experience you will get from remakes. Such is the fate of the inferior original doujin classic that has passed its time and pales in comparison with shiny and colorful modern VNs. Know your place, "old Tsukihime." /sarcasmLast modified on 2013-09-08 at 03:35

Well, I do this too. For some reason I'd rather see the whole thing in its original form before playing/reading a remade version of it, especially if it is supposed to be a good work. It worked for me.

I also agree with Gabezhule some posts above, if they've just remade it with only graphics, and audio revamped, I think the fans of the original game wouldn't really like it, there's gotta be more content in there than just upgrading the technical stuff.

< report >Really this is too much. I get that adding Sacchin route requires rewriting at least Near routes, but not Far routes.

Might as well just say farewell to Sacchin. It's kinda ridiculous at this point to expect anything TM. Mahoyo hasn't seen the light of the day either. and I'm even more worried that this remake would be released in PS3 or something and porting them to PC will take even more time than translation alone.

< report >^ You -are- aware that the Mahoyo translation is somewhere about 68% done, and that the translation has fuck all to do with Type Moon and their release schedule, right?

< report >Play the original and/or wait for the remake.
Discuss Mahoyo in another thread.

< report >Cross... How come that when we are offtopic you are the first one to jump in to steer the rudder even farther off the course, but when we are still on topic (in this case, Type Moon's release habits), you jump in to tell people off about going off-topic...? Is it opposite-day for you or something...? -.-'

< report >Well, actually you're right. If this thread was any interesting I would dive in ass-first instead of complaining.
I blame the fading weekend for my sour mood...

(But now I think I understand the inner turmoil of a Mod, who has to deal with some boring bullshit-threads, but can't Nuka-bomb shit to dust, because of the responsibilities of his position. I don't envy you, my friend....)
