#2 Seems logical. Could also be that physical/digital vendors update their catalogue once a month or whatever other timeframe instead of spreading it out.
My question, why is it go on sale and not released or am I that messed up from looking at MG's site?Last modified on 2020-07-29 at 18:26

|< report >video games in general come out on a certain day of the week, tuesday in america and friday in the uk and japan. multiple games coming out on that day is just a side product of this because you can only have 4-5 possible slots per month, and they probably target a specific month in development and so they like to put it right at the end of the month.|
read it here if you want a source that's not me: link

|< report >#2 Traditionally Japanese salaries are paid once a month. The 25th of each month is one of the more common dates. Part-time and temps jobs pay differently. (I was already sort of aware of this, but here is a source: link.)|

New Japan eroge in hardcopies are usually sold with special peripheral goods (特典, Tokuten). Each distributor is assigned to its own monopolistic Tokuten. During the release days, there will be long queue of players at eroge stores to get their games. For efficiency, eroge distributors tend to group man power and other resources on the same day to handle customers. The date is usually set on the last Friday of each month.
If eroge is not released on the same date, then eroge distributors need to scatter resources to handle customer. Customers may also dislike such handling as some of them will buy more than one game. Due to mutual benefits, the arrangement of grouping new release on the same day has become an industrial consensus.
