"Unofficial" flag for releases

|< report >t15001 reminded me that we way that unofficial publishers are displayed alongside official ones on VN pages is kind of misleading (talking about listing booom313 as publisher of Quest Failed), so I was thinking of a solution to make the distinction more clear. As it is, however, the data model for releases is missing an important piece of information: Was the release sanctioned by the original developer or not? i.e. is it an official release or a fan-made one? So here my simple proposal: add an "unofficial" flag for fan-made releases, much in the same way as we have an "unofficial" flag for VN relations. This way we can properly mark unofficial publishers on the VN page.|
Good idea? Terrible idea? Other ideas?

|< report >Sounds fine. We mark doujin releases so let's just add a similar flag but for translations. And separate those publishers on the main page like "Publishers (unofficial)" or something.|

I have automatically marked all releases originally developed by a company and published by an individual or amateur group as unofficial. I don't expect many false positives there, but I do expect that there'll be many more unofficial releases that haven't been properly flagged yet. I can run more batch updates if anyone can come up with some good criteria.
EDIT: Eh, looks like gvbn already found a whole bunch of false positives anyway, sorry about that. :(Last modified on 2020-11-19 at 13:09
