< report >Been playing Maitetsu and Koikuma and so far, I've been loving how great they are at making these locations feel real.
It's kind of a given with Maitetsu, since a big part of the plot is about the beautiful, bucolic town of Ohitoyo, but I was also surprised at how much effort the devs of Koikuma put into the background art, the descriptions of places, and how the characters interacted with these places.

What other VNs have had detailed and fully-realized locations that made you go, "Wow, I'd really love to live here."

< report >Being a moege protagonist will set you to happiness for life:}

But for specific answer, I'll say the world of Hitotsuba is pretty darn amazing with how you can get a personal airplane as easily as a bicycle. Also, the City of Saint Aria in Lamunation! is a pretty much heaven on Earth, and that's not an exaggeration. So yeah, I will kill myself if someone said I would reincarnate into those world.

< report >Subarashiki Hibi. I'd finally get to play with my futas.

On a more serious note, any answer here other than OniKiss is simply ridiculous. Can anyone not see the insane worldbuilding it got: with its powerful flats and curves, enough to stupify anyone with a genuine interest in worldbuilding?

< report >The worlds depicted in moeges are not necessarily kind to non-protagonists. If I'm not guaranteed to be the protagonist, then there's a non-zero chance that I will end up being the Side Character A who doesn't get a harem while the shitty protagonist guy gets one. This is simply not acceptable. So the very fabric of that universe should have some kind of mechanism that ensures that even a so-called side character has a fulfilling and happy life. A divine concept like "fated girls" being real in that universe would probably help.

Surrounding yourself with beautiful girls but being able to choose only one of them is just bullshit. So polygamy being legal and commonplace is a must.

Not being able to make sweet love to your imoutos would be a folly. So incest shouldn't be a big deal in that universe. But the feeling of eating the forbidden fruit is alluring in and of itself, so maybe it should be mildly frowned upon just to keep that allure alive. Same goes for lolis. I also feel like slave girls should be a thing somehow but I'm not sure how to consolidate that with a moral world yet.

As for landscapes and whatnot, I don't really care about them, so no comment on that front.Last modified on 2021-01-13 at 23:23

To be honest I think the VN I'd most like to be in would be Disgaea Infinite

< report >Katahane has easily my favorite VN worldbuilding and landscapes, especially in Kurohane, but the traveling aspect of Shirohane also expands the world in a pretty interesting way.

On a personal level, even though it's a real-world location, something about Steins;Gate has never left my mind. Maybe it's exactly because it feels so close to reality, but with the right doses of fictional elements to make things more interesting. The things I'd do to be a labmem... For some reason, taking Faris place in her ending has been my favorite daydream for over 10 years now.

< report >Definitely in the parks and the seashores around Mihama Academy where Chiru-Chiru or Sachi would be found gazing at the sea and contemplating over the mystery called life. The inner monologues of Grisaia characters really gave them a distinct personality that is usually not found in Visual Novels that feature more than 4 heroines, as many producers tend to focus only on limited characters which results into worst plot developments for neglected heroines. That's why i don't read Manga or watch Anime anymore, as Visual Novels provide much more satisfaction, as they offer various choices and endings for almost all heroines involved, and their walkthroughs offer us a clear glimpse of whether the protagonist can pursue a certain heroine or not, and thus are extremely immersive.

< report >Hard to pick something that wouldn't be pure nukige having lots of sex. But finally came up with my decent answer.

Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!!--Its game that I think would have fun and interesting characters get to know because in regular nukige not much personality there. It is also like a super hero movie with crazy things happening all time so would be different than just a regular world. Assuming I am protagonist also seem to have ability to charm over any woman in world and skilled enough to take care of self if end up in crazy situations.

< report >Nukige? Maybe this is different for other people but I personally think that constant sex would be pretty tiring, and get old fast.

< report >Lamunation, probably. Mainly because the setting is so sleek and futuristic (link). Might just be my love for skyscrapers shining through, some Yuzusoft novels like Dracu-Riot and Sanoba Witch have similarly enchanting background CGs in that regard.
