< report >I think I'll go with Kono Yo no Hate de Koi o Utau Shoujo YU-NO here, plotwise it's so convoluted and boring, so hard to play and old artstyle, I just dropped it, what's yours?

< report >Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa o Hirogete. Sure, the artstyle is beautiful, but the plot in all routes is kinda samey and heroines are either boring or annoying (Ageha in particular is one of my least favorite heroines ever).

< report >#2 I agree with you but its not that really a much of "don't like" since the only thing that was not good in the VN is having the same main story to all the heroines.Last modified on 2021-02-24 at 03:28

< report >Sakura, Moyu. -As the Night's, Reincarnation- is occasionally called the best vn but tbh it was ruined for me by the writing style. don't get me wrong the story was great but the writer needs to be replaced because i was so worn out by repetition of stuff that happened only a few lines ago by the end that i couldn't even care about the plot twists.

i couldn't in good faith say it was good when i wanted to actively give up playing it for multiple hours playing it, even if the rest of it was great.

< report >Sakura no Uta
After reading subahibi back in my eop days i've been so excited to read sakuuta someday, like one of my reasons to learn japanese. Ended up disappointed in scaji (at least tsui no sora remake restored some of my scaji faith later), boring as fuck, trash humor, even SoL is bad. Biggest meme kamige I've read so far. It's boring 80% of time and even true route not anywhere as good as I expected. Boring and bad to the point when random generic moege is more enjoyable and 2x shorter than sakuuta.
Somehow waiting for sakutoki anyway.

< report >@5 There is no reason why this game is so highly rated. I believe it's because tons of e-celebs back in the day hyped it like a never-ever that the shameful eops will never get to read so people put it on a pedestal. It's super disappointing with the exception of Zypressen which I never reached properly because Picapica is just such a big filter for your enjoyment.

To name some e-celebs who helped the hype of this game: Justin Lam (Facebook and SEA Region), Conjueror, Moogy, Wahfuu...

< report >Ever17 -The Out of Infinity- Everything is boring except true route - and even then it's not something outstanding. Hell, I don't even remember what it was about exactly, now ))
Doki Doki Literature Club! Overrated piece of garbage. Literally memege with zero value outside of some streamers and video blogers funny face reactions.

< report >Majikoi was just too chaotic and the jokes never landed for me.
Grisaia no Kaijitsu was... just okay. The common route was hilarious, but the girls' routes tried so hard to be dramatic but it didn't have the writing chops to pull it off.
I couldn't stand Dies Irae. No explanation needed.

< report >Wouldn't say I hated it, but Grisaia no Kajitsu for supposed kamige, turned out to be just meh, okay. Wasn't that funny to me, I disliked scenario of some routes, and it's just sooooo long. Thankfully I had more fun reading Rakuen, definitely the superior entry in this trilogy.

< report >Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo
Nukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Watashi wa Dou Surya Ii Desu ka?
Both of them for the same reason: if you give me a dystopian setting, then I expect to experience an actual dystopian setting and not a flimsy vehicle for forced drama. A lot of the time I couldn't focus on the personal-level drama because I kept being thrown off that a bunch of adults was brainwashed enough to accept policies portrayed in these games as a good idea, for many reasons. And then if you have a bunch of schoolkids trying to overthrow the world order... Yeah...

Subarashiki Hibi ~Furenzoku Sonzai~
It was a good read, but definitely not the life-changing philosophical experience that it was made out to be. (Then again my life-changing eroge was Oretsuba so who am I to judge, these things are highly personal.) Speaking purely in terms of entertainment value, Tsui no Sora was so much better.Last modified on 2021-02-25 at 16:06

< report >@6 i agree with you, sakura no uta was seriously overhyped, zypressen was good but the yuri end was disapointing, short and seriously out of character, i personally liked it but it wasnt the kamige people hyped, will properly judge this series as a whole when the sequel is released. if you want a vn with the same themes of sakura no uta but with less issues read musicusLast modified on 2021-02-26 at 00:06

< report >Koi ga Saku Sakura Doki or Saku Saku . Actually I like it because has a good plot and the heroine is pretty good tbh, but that annoying protagonist ruined everything at first. Fortunately, in the near end of some heroine route , he become more proactive than before because help of his friend.

< report >dchsflii, oh god YES. I absolutely hated the protagonist and dropped it real quick. He was a complete dick to the policeman at the beginning for no reason. Then he's a dick to the girl introducing him to the school.

Oh, he's so edgy! Oh, he's so confident. Oh he's so cool.
No, no he isn't. He's just a complete asshole. You don't have to be an asshole to be confident. I don't want to read a story about a complete asshole. Dropped.Last modified on 2021-02-28 at 08:57
