< report >let me guess: the winner of that is a story based with a low sales compared to a nukige with a lot of sales

< report >"If you do spend time researching titles prior to purchase, what sorts of information do you typically look for in making your decision?"

"Art" is not even an option there because clearly, something like "playtime" is way more important, lol.

< report >maybe they don't think art requires research because it's right there staring you in the face?

< report >Recommended Haha Ranman, Oyako Rankan and Tsumamigui 3 for licenses. I'm not really invested in the EN scene rn but those are some worthwhile titles I'd guess.

Asked for more AliceSoft + Waffle titles, recommended cooperation with Atelier Kaguya, Marmalade, Giga, CATTLEYA and TinkerBell/Cyberworks.

Thx for bringing the survey up!Last modified on 2021-03-11 at 14:52

Yeah, I added "Artist". 😀

Went with Erewhon, Waga Himegimi ni Eikan wo and Meikoku Gakuen. Now they're all but sure to come. 😬

I want 'em to start picking up Atelier Kaguya stuff.

< report >Honestly I want more Clockup but they just did that Butcha-U game. Honestly I can't believe they went with that over Dead Days or Erewhon. If it's true that it sells better that's truly depressing

< report >@4: Nah, they have other options which require even less "research". And art doesn't just refer to character art either.

Didn't ask for any titles, just told them to step up their translation quality and look at other ways to sell their titles (like DLSite which is great...with the exception that it's based in Japan and as thus always censored).

< report >#8 I also told them to sell more/all of their titles on other storefronts, like JAST, because PayPal is easier to use than a CC or DC, and let's be honest, any fee that they'd have to pay JAST would probably be negligible compared to the sales they'd get.

Personal anecdote: my bank's DC doesn't use VISA/MC, so I have to get an extra chargeable CC (don't need the temptation of buying beyond my means) for 24 bucks a year (from that same bank), charging it takes 3-4 business days which is VERY bad for flash sales.Last modified on 2021-03-14 at 16:04

< report >#11 if you email them you can use PayPal to buy points.
Definitely not an ideal solution and I'd definitely prefer to see them sold on JAST as well.

< report >@11: Yeah, I know what you mean. I used a chargeable CC several years ago as well. Was like 1€ per charge, so dumping a lot of money on it at once worked well. Eventually though, my bank offered a CC without any fees whatsoever for young people (probably because CCs aren't really common here at all and they want people to spend money after all), so I've been using that option ever since. After all, DLSite needs one if you purchase adult items off their website....and Japan in general isn't that big on Paypal, although it has been getting better recently. I still remember the days I had to jump through hoops to get a premium account on Nico².

< report >As shroom said mostly just said Atelier Kaguya vn. Considering their imouto game doesn't sound like it would be a big change to format.

< report >As I have participated in the survey for the first time, when, if ever, are any results of the survey provided to the public?
Also, how are winners announced?

< report >It used to be that the results would be posted like a month or so later, but last year it took 5 or so so who knows when the results will get posted.

They put up a blog post that just list the top whatever(it went from 10, to 15, to 20) and talk a bit about the stats of the rest of the survey. The top is usually dominated by the same things every year though, so its not as exciting as it should be.
