Sony backtracks on PS3 and Vita store closure

< report >Sony announced today that they will no longer be closing the PS3 and Vita storefronts, as they had planned to do in July and August. The PSP store will still be closing as scheduled though. This is good news for games preservation in general, but especially for VNs since the Vita is one of the most important machines for the VN market.

This backtrack decision might have been due to the internet uproar after the announcement, but I think the real reason is that a bunch of game devs were about to have a big chunk of their income evaporate, and they all complained loud enough for Sony to have to listen.
