< report >This is truly not same. It may sound similar, but it's not.
Key difference is character's name being included in title of game. Title character can be central character. But also doesn't need to be. Actually it can even play relatively minor role in overal story and just being important on thematical level. It always depend on kind of story.

Anyway, while "Central Character" can actually be simply set as "Main Character" and let it be find that way. Same doesn't work for "Title Character". As there simply no association to find it.
So please allow this tag, so those kind of characters can be sorted.

< report >Could you give a few examples of such "Title Characters"?

< report >Well, from random examples:

It's hard to find some more unique without sorting. But in any case name of "Title character" is always in game's title. For that reason it's "TITLE character".
Of course there may be some wordplay cases where in japanese title basically does contain character's name, but that title doesn't really reffers to that character. Like:

Not sure, if such character should count as title character. I personally was looking rather for characters whose name is directly in title. But I leave range decision to you.Last modified on 2021-07-17 at 01:54

Here's an even better case of that, a whole double, with two characters: linkLast modified on 2021-07-17 at 07:40

< report >I have feeling that's rather reverse case. As title actually REFERS to said characters, but also plays pun on Japanese term for "Far away". :D

< report >here's a more pertinent question

who cares so much about a character being a "title character" that they will sort using the trait? is there actually any point having that trait at all? will you be able to find anything with it? the trait is absolutely useless if you're just looking at a character's profile as by definition the trait is blatently obvious from the name of the character and the name of the vn they are from, both of which are on the character profile.

if we can have needless bloat tags what about a "really long name" trait? seems about as usefulLast modified on 2021-07-18 at 00:56

For example I do. :)

I dare to say, as long it's something that can be clearly defined, people are looking for that and there is no other way to simply find it, then existence of such tag is totally justified.
the trait is absolutely useless if you're just looking at a character's profile as by definition the trait is blatently obvious from the name of the character and the name of the vn they are from, both of which are on the character profile.
You missing one important thing. How I can even find said profile in first place, if there is no option to sort it in some way. Character being "title character" can be obvious from his sole character profile itself, but in full text search there is no option to sort it. So I can't even learn about it's existence. That pretty solid reason to create such tag.
Of course, if you know about other easy option how to sort such characters so I can find them, I'm open to listen.

Sorry, but I'm not coding expert. >_<

Interesting, thank you. Definitelly worth of check. But still proper tag with additional options of sorting, would serve better.
Thank beliar for it's creation.
