< report >An alternative solution to achieve the same result would be to add certain of the functionalities of the search to 'My Visual Novel List'. There's been plenty of times in the past where I've for varying reasons felt that I *really* could've used being able to see what score I gave an entry while using the search - since I stopped even trying to use My List for anything but the most basic "searches" on titles I have on any list, but as mentioned already the same result could be achieved if there were better search options on your own list.

From what I see the best and most logical place of adding the options would be at 'Visible columns' in the 'display options' on the search page, if adding it there. If the search and/or display for it is functionally incapable of grabbing your personal score then adding search options to My List becomes the only solution.

If you add more search functionalities to My List then I'd say the best way of doing it is just designing it the same way the VN search is, so putting similar (or the same) tools in the same place - under the "Alphabet" that allows you to sort by letter, though it would be subject for discussion. See this image if you don't understand what I mean; link
My List looks very similar, but without all the extra options.

Simple examples of when this function would be useful:
Wanting to figure out which VN with tag X I rated the highest ("What was the best harem VN I read?") - or wanting to know what score you gave *any* VN with tag X.
Which is the best VN by Developer/Publisher X that I have read?
Which is the best VN available in English that I have read?
Which is the best VN I've read that included X as a staff member?

I could keep going, the point is that on top of all the cases where I've already wished I was able to conveniently and quickly figure out what score I gave titles that fit a specific search criteria are already numberous, I can think of even more that I could see someone else finding use for.

If there is an option already for it, then I'm either blind or it is placed somewhere that either is unintuitive or makes it easy to miss.Last modified on 2021-08-17 at 12:01

This is exactly the plan. The advanced search and table options are a fairly recent addition, I simply haven't gotten to integrating those into personal lists yet.

< report >Welp, let me change my question then, that can help me get an (extremely rough) estimate of what I may be looking at here in regards of effort/time required;
How much different is the engine used on 'My list' compared to the regular search enginge? Are we talking "complete overhaul" levels or more along the lines of just integrating the functions of the regular search?
