< report >Hello;

Sorry for my rudeness, but why would you add ~Acta est Fabula~ when it's not the final product and you lose around 12 hours of content ? Not only that, but the jp version doesn't mention it either.

< report >Not only that but you, like all those who "fixed" the title didn't even read it. Do you have any justification ?

< report >The main Vn title is supposed to bear the title of the first complete release of the game. The first complete release of this particular game (Zarathustra being considered a different game altogether due to the massive rewrites) is ~Acta est Fabula~. Even if some console releases later added stuff and had a new name, that doesn't change a thing. There are a lot of VNs that have new stuff added to them, like new routes, and sometimes they even change the titles, but the main Vn title remains intact. Once it's named, it's named.

tl;dr It's not the most complete release that names the Vn, but the first complete release.

< report >Thanks for your answer however I heavily disagree with you. If you don't consider Also Sprach Zarathustra as a complete version therefore neither is Acta est Fabula which lacks five entire stories including two routes epilogues and the final and true ending of the game. There can't be a "first" complete release, either it's complete or it's not and in that case it's ASZ or AA but not AEF. ~Acta est Fabula~ is just the name of the current version, not the actual title which is Dies Irae (ディエス・イレ) and was actually the title before the change and worked perfectly fine.

The title is misleading and should be edited to avoid confusion and future mistakes.

< report >Let me give you another example. Would you also advocate to change the name of Rewrite to Rewrite+, as that is the most recent release with the most improvements? Of course you wouldn't, because that is not sane. Once you create the Vn name, the name shouldn't be touched no matter how many releases with how many additions the VN incurs. ASZ cannot be the name, as the game has been completely rewritten in between ASZ and AEF. According of our guidelines, a rewrite justifies treating the VNs as different games and having different VN entries.

< report >I see your point alas I disagree once again. I don't have read Rewrite yet, but from what I heard Rewrite+ only slightly change the ending and add the fandisk. "Rewrite" being the short form allows it to encompass both of them, and let's not kid ourselves the difference between Rewrite+ and AA are not comparable in the first place.

A better comparison would be in my opinion Tsukihime, as you can see the title is "Tsukihime" only despite having "Blue Blue Glass Moon, Under The Crimson Air" written on the cover and main menu, why not do the same thing with Dies Irae ? Putting AeF and AA under the Alias category wouldn't be mislead anyone anymore and would still abide your rules (since the jp text doesn't mention ASZ/AEF/AA).

Please do understand I'm not trying to waste your time, I just don't understand why someone would change a title which worked fine for years for something which will do more harm than good.

the title was Dies irae while ASZ was rolled into the same VN entry, which was a huge problem in and on itself. After ASZ was given a new entry it's no longer necessary to prevent the full display of the name.

"Blue Blue Glass Moon, Under The Crimson Air" is more like a tagline that many JP novels just love plastering on their posters/covers, rather than a true part of the title. No one refers to Tsukihime by that name.

< report >Why was that a huge problem ? It was indeed modifier but it still impacted heavily the current game. The previous name showed all the ver through time which was good, because ASZ still is Dies Irae.

Same could be said about Dies Irae, its jp name is ONLY Dies Irae unlike Noah (which for some reason has two entries) or Ikabey (which has Interview with Kaziklu Bey in its jp name). For consistency and accuracy sake the tiltle should be "Dies Irae" only, specifying a version would induce people in error and I don't think that's your objective.

I'll repeat myself : Dies Irae worked fine for years and I don't understand why you would change it for a less accurate title. Only the base name name should be used.
