I find myself hesitating...

< report >... because of the AI component of this VN.

I started to read Trinoline, and oh god was that a failure. Such a failure that I dropped it after finishing just Shirone's route and getting not far into Yuuri's.

Because of Trinoline's BAD imbedment of the AI theme and the conclusion Shirone's route had, I find myself hesitating to read Ame's route. As I spoilt myself (why? I don't know! I wish I could unspoil me!!!) I read the part of Ame being subject of death. Hence, it strongly reminded me of Trinoline.

So, are there similarities between these two VNs, if yes, to what extend?
Or is the AI theme the only thing these two have in common?

I DO NOT need AND want to read another route going the same direction as Trinoline's Shirone!!!

Thanks, guys!

< report >trinoline still look more better than dal segno even if still have not read trinoline because in dal segno, all heroine route have "same story development pattern"

< report >So I haven't finished a single route in Trinoline because it was, to put it gently, boring and unreadable! I imagine you'll experience a similar gut punch in Dal Segno which I DID finish but if you're wondering if it's better than Trinoline at least then the answer to that is a resounding yes. That being said, if you're similar to me and absolutely HATE the heroine dying trope I wouldn't suggest investing too much time into Ame's route and forgetting about it.

< report >If it could at least give a consolation, the FD does kinda fix this, I think. Spoiler if someone doesn't intend to read the FD because of ahem, Japanese. Ame reappear, then disappear again, completely nonsensical, but that's the Da Capo series for you, and with all of that hint of "We will meet again." we can assume that she will appear whenever Atsuya and/or her other friends greatly wished for it. Was it still bad? Maybe. But it's not the worst.Last modified on 2021-10-11 at 08:08

Thanks, you 2! I think I can read the previous 4 routes without worries then.
I'll do just that.
From what I could gather for the Grand End all 6 previous routes must be cleared. Therefore, I'll skip through Ame's route once I get to hers to unlock the 7th ending.

#2 If you like Trinoline, that is fine by me. I don't care which looks better, I am here for a well written story. Granted, I can't judge DS yet. But Trinoline - that I can, and hell, worst writing I ever came across during my time reading VNs and I've read quite a few. Of course, this is just my personal opinion.

If anyone else wants to share their thoughts and opinions, I'll gladly read them!

< report >Heads up that, while my memory on it is fuzzy, I remember Dal Segno's grand ending being fairly underwhelming! Be prepared for it to be not that great and CERTAINLY not worth the gut punch that luckily you decided to avoid.

< report >Ah, yeah, one more thing.
Why does this game have the technical trait Only good endings?
I fail to understand how that tag and Ame's trait don't repel one another!?Last modified on 2021-10-11 at 20:23

< report >I believe it's considered a "good end" because it's what's intended to happen and not the result of making stupid wrong choices lol.

< report >So basically a cliffhanger for a sequel which is considered a FD rather than a sequel? I don't get it.... Well, thanks again...
