Sofurin is a self-regulation organization mainly for eroge. I'll use the word eroge instead of VN since non-adult game makers don't really have incentive to join them.

Will Yuzusoft stop making 18+ games? It's too early to tell, but this doesn't look like a good sign.

< report >They created an imprint specifically for all-ages, if they wanted to stop producing 18+ in general they wouldn't have bothered. At some point you're doomposting for no reason.

< report >Clearly they are done with self-regulation and want to make more risqué games.

Rodo explains on Twitter that Yuzu/Junos only joined Sofrin to come on the board of directors. Their term is now over, so Junos now left Sofrin accordingly. They are also working on an 18+game.

Were their games pre-Riddle Jokers going through IPPA/ex-Mediron then and they're just going back to that?

edit: I somehow missed that in the tweet, Rodo confirms that the review of their upcoming game is still going to be handled by Sofrin. Huh, I don't get it - I thought the whole deal of being a member (and paying a hefty membership fee) is that it's a prerequisite to getting your product rated by the board, but somehow not?Last modified on 2021-12-28 at 16:05

< report >They said the new eroge was making, and earlier they started a new ASMR project named YSMR, which produced all 18+ ASMRs. It is not enough to say they stop making 18+.As for Yuzusoft Sour, it is too early to evaluate unless they make more than 3 original VNs.Last modified on 2022-01-03 at 14:19

Dracu-Riot has a Sofurin ID (ソフ倫受理番号).

We can also see the same ID on the page in Dec 2015, when it first debuted on dlsoft.dmm:

My understanding is that registration with Sofurin is required to sell adult titles at most commercial eroge shops. Otherwise, the title is considered doujin. Perhaps those here are confusing "membership" with the customary registration of titles?Last modified on 2022-01-04 at 19:06
