< report >just like the global notification setting for edits to contributed entries
what about another one for all novels in your list?
and also have separate settings for wishlist and releases (which includes wishlist releases if checked)

< report >Why? I mean, what's your use case? The majority of database edits are minor adjustments and improvements. Are you interested in getting notification-spammed when someone decides to edit a whole bunch of entries to improve database consistency? Do you really want to know when someone fixes a typo or adds a few links?

< report >Just getting notified whenever a VN in your list is merged/deleted is perfect. I'm not sure why would you need to know about alterations in a VN in your list as it happens. The best addition i could think of is having the option to be notified about new releases on a wishlisted VN about a week before release day.

< report >It's mainly for new releases on any novel in my list and edits to new novel entries to be up to date with anything that can be important.
so I don't mind if it's made specifically for that but in this case we would need it to work for:
1. new releases regardless of how old the novel is or whether it's wishlisted or not (with an option to toggle specific languages and an option to toggle original language which is default on if possible to reduce spam)
2. edits to new novel entries in my list regardless of whether wishlisted or not (I don't know what could be a suitable criteria for new database entries. Maybe use the date added to my list as an approximation?)
As to why new database entries and not just new novels based on their release/announcement date. that's because new entries are most likely to be heavily edited just like new novels, and I'd like to be up to date with any big changes to novels in my list even if at the cost of getting notified for rare minor changes to old novels.
The main issue with the criteria I suggested however is novels announced many years before release. (sequels of sequels)
in this case just lowering the criteria to anything in my list would work, which is the initial suggestion. but, as yorhel said, it can result in more spam.
This definitely isn't my site nor am I the only user so I don't mind if it's further refined to suit most people, ofcourse.Last modified on 2022-01-05 at 18:46

< report >Sort of related, do you have to do anything in the settings to get notified when a VN entry is deleted? I feel like VNs on my list have been deleted in the past but I don't think I've ever gotten a notification
