< report >Polls that nobody asked for but were needed, maybe at least here we can be guided by the popularity of the routes through the polls

< report >Although it is known that Kazusa is the most popular character, I think that the reason why most people liked his route was because of the well-executed decisions and giving a little more depth to the character development, especially HarukiLast modified on 2022-02-25 at 07:06

< report >Well, unless you are considering the extra chapter, KNE (why is this even called KNE, and not SNE?) was incomplete and STE was far too idealistic.

< report >please be honest, put your personal feelings for the heroines aside and deepen your perspective of the endings when choosing a route as the best built in your personal opinionLast modified on 2022-03-09 at 07:50

< report >All endings are good and acceptable, but seriously people who love Setsuna TE, all right at home? those people look like SIMPS of Setsuna who deify their waifu to the point that those fans consider it the definitive canon that ending without even analyzing the logic of the game, I have no problem with Setsuna because she is the best character and I am a fan of that girl but Ironically I think that his true ending is very hypocritical and mediocre, even Kazusa's two endings feel much more coherent

< report >Can someone please tell me why the cup is always half empty? When I choose Setsuna, I become sad because I didn't choose Kazusa, and if I choose Kazusa, I become sad because I didn't choose Setsuna, it's like choosing between one of my eyes. And by the way, is Setsuna bi? Some lines of her make me think she's bisexual, it's nothing important but it would be kinda interesting.Last modified on 2022-04-04 at 01:05

< report >What's wrong with people? How can you like that trainwreck aka Kazusa's true end? It's horrible, it made me disgusted of Kazusa and hate Haruki. They're some of the most awful people I've ever seen in VNs. I can't understand how people can like Kazusa after reading that shit. I can only guess it's because Kazusa is such a pathetic and miserable woman that it activates men's protective instinct, so their subconscious is like "as long as waifu is protected, nothing else matters and everything is fine".Last modified on 2022-04-26 at 11:55

< report >I absolutely despise Kazusa's true route and I loved Setsuna's, I liked Kazusa until her route and after it was over, I genuinely despise her. Setsuna became my favorite in closing chapter and I enjoyed her route and after story far more. I understand why people like Kazusa but I just cannot stand her route at all.

< report >"as long as waifu is protected, nothing else matters and everything is fine".
This is exactly what Haruki thinks in Kazusa true, and that's what makes that ending the only good part of this painful slog.
For once, this disgusting excuse for a human being fully commits to the one girl who's been in his head all these years and decides to protect her no matter what. And for once he stands by his decision, which is a rare thing for him.

< report >Kazusa true didn't seem healthy for anyone. It's not healthy for someone to cling onto one person like Kazusa does and it's not healthy for Haruki to give up his life in order to make her happy. The whole ending is fucked up. Nobody else than Kazusa is happy in it. In Setsuna's true ending most people are happy, even Kazusa because she's not alone and has people who support her around her. Even Haruki admits to himself he's right to pick Setsuna.Last modified on 2022-05-15 at 13:16

< report >I believe Haruki is happy in Kazusa's true, it's just that he's so indecisive that whatever he chooses he's going to have some level of regret attached to it, but that doesn't mean he's unhappy with the situation.

< report >Haruki is never going to be entirely happy and guilt free either way. He's always going to feel some level of regret. Just deserts and the like. I can't say I feel much in the way of sympathy for him.

As for Setsuna being the "right" choice, yeah, that is what everyone expects of him, and would be the "right" thing to do. But that has very little to do with happiness.

Perhaps the biggest problem with Setsuna's true end is that it tries to take the "three of us" thing of Setsuna's from IC which very clearly did not work and tries to spin it into something that magically works out. Once again they just repeat past mistakes and that is somehow presented as a "good" ending.

Kazusa's true end has darkness to it. But that makes a lot of sense. Considering how much this concentrated piece of waste matter we call a protagonist has fucked up along the way, how can any proper ending not be dark to some extent? But for once he actually takes some fucking action instead of just going with the flow like the indecisive piece of shit he is. He throws away everything, gives up what's "right", and picks the girl who's always been his number one over all else. He actively makes a move, makes sacrifices, to finally get things going the way he believes will in the end lead to happiness. This way Setsuna even gets the chance to make a clean break (though Setsuna being Setsuna she never really takes this), which Kazusa never gets in Setsuna's true end because hurr durr the magic of time will heal everything.

< report >I don't see Setsuna's true end as the "right" choice/thing to do or even healthy in terms of relationship. Everything in that route leads to a "pseudo-happiness".

To note the main events: Haruki is convinced by Kazusa to give up on her and be with Setsuna. Kazusa, in turn, was convinced by Setsuna. Setsuna's parents remain in the dark and are convinced that Haruki has been a proper and loving boyfriend for all 5 years he's been with Setsuna. And Io and Takeya are convinced that their relationship can work just because the Haruki+Setsuna relationship prevailed.

It's all a big tower of cards with Setsuna as the base of it all, and the moment Setsuna can't hold it together anymore, it seems that it'll all fall apart.

< report >Kazusa true is the only route where Haruki's character truly develops. Everything from IC, CC and Coda is leading up to it. It's really misleading calling it Kazusa true since Kazusa really doesn't do much in this route. Should be renamed to Haruki's Route. It's a really ugly and bittersweet conclusion but I think it's the most fitting conclusion to White Album 2.

< report >Setsuna is the "right" choice in the context of societal expectations, not much else.

As for Kazusa true, I'd say it's perfectly fine calling it Kazusa true because it's where Haruki chooses Kazusa entirely at the cost of everything else, without just going indecisively halfway.

< report >I wonder what would be the opinions of people that went through all the additional materials: they focus on Setsuna and develop her much better than in the VN, and I say this as someone who is team Kazusa.

< report >I honestly disappointed with Setsuna CODA route. The whole drama in this route could be easily solved by Setsuna acting more mature and confronting the fact with more understanding instead of ghosting the MC in almost entire route and forcing him to act on his own except if he asked for her directly . And honestly it makes less sense since it feels she's like wasting meal that already on her table, and that's no ordinary meal but the meal she can only get after she's working so hard to earn that meal. She literally all over MC throughout the VN and mini story but once she get him, it feels like she got overly confident and value the MC less. While in the truth, if someone took MC from her, she'd be downbad depressed. Like wtf make up your mind.Last modified on 2023-01-21 at 11:24
