< report >Hey guys,
I was wondering if it's possible to undelete a deleted VNDB entry? I notice the entry for Paradise Killer has been deleted with the comment "not a VN" which is a somewhat questionable decision on the whole. I've played it all the way through and it's an excellent game that certainly fits the criteria. It does have some gameplay elements, but not so many that it would exclude it - in fact, far less than many other entries in the VNDB.
If Phoenix Wright, Danganronpa and the nonary games all count as VNs, there's really no reason Paradise Killer shouldn't.

< report >Read d2#1 and feel free to describe how the game fulfills all of the criteria. A mod will probably take a look.
Also note that it does not really matter if similar games are already in the db, especially when you point to games that are on the borderline games list (d15#3).

< report >Hm, might be borderline after all. Definitely feels like a VN but not sure it meets all the criteria. It's not a pure VN, as choices aren't the only interactive part - it includes exploration/walking around a 3d space to navigate around the places, similar to danganronpa, with collectables around the place to find as well (optionally) and a few small puzzles.
Most of the game is played out in character interactions displayed in ADV format. It meets most of the requirements of a VN/Game hybrid.
- Story is told employing ADV and by far the majority of it is experienced that way, navigating conversations and choices in same.
- Storytelling segments do continue uninterupted for a significant period of time, and there are a lot of them, mostly broken up by walking to the next one.
- The key point, and i'm struggling to remember, is how much of the ADV portions use "novel narrative" in them. Most of it is dialogue it's true, which may cause the game to be excluded. I think there were descriptions of the main characters thoughts throughout the game as well, and some descriptions of characters actions and behaviour during the conversation, but not as much as the dialogue.
I guess this one is going to be a real judgement call. Interesting story though ;)

< report >Actually, looks like this has already been addressed on the game discussion board, I missed that too somehow. Looks like this discussion has already been had, apologies all!
