< report >Is there romance in this, and is it good? I don't see a romance tag, and the premise seems a bit interesting.

If there is romance, how much of the story is romance related?

< report >I wouldn't worry too much about the tags, as they're user-edited. Amatarasu absolutely has romance; it's a moege with some plot elements.
It's decent anyways, just nothing groundbreaking.

< report >Yeah I know theyre user edited, just had to make sure.
I've always liked the less budget or decent ones instead of the higher rated visual novels for some reason.

< report >#4 It's not that there's something wrong with it, it's just that it's not perfect. It relies on the honesty, opinion, and diligence of the users, all of which can vary considerably, especially the latter two. If nobody selects a particular tag for a VN, that doesn't necessarily mean that tag isn't present in the VN, it could also mean nobody thought to (or bothered to) select the tag.

< report >Yeah that, should have used the word "flaw". I agree with you and I think VNs are under-tagged here, I already perceived this when I try to tag some games and I have no clue which tags exist or how to find them quickly, just type some random keywords or try to rely on my memory, so a lot of things go missing. Maybe the other users go through something similar or I just suck at it.Last modified on 2022-06-22 at 03:34

< report >Finding tags isn't too difficult (in my opinion) if you use the tag tree, but the sheer number of tags (over 12k?) makes the process time-consuming and maybe even feel a bit overwhelming after you've been browsing the tag tree for a while. As for "flawed", you're not wrong, but it's just the nature of the beast. For me the takeaway is that tags are very useful, but they're more indicative than they are definitive. I always check descriptions and character bios as well in case the tags aren't really telling the whole story.

< report >Yeah I try and fill in some missing tags when I notice them so other people don't run into similar questions as me. Surprisingly the Majikoi series is missing a lot of tags that I don't feel like filling in, despite its popularity.
