#8 by sirbanana 2023-04-21 at 12:04 | < report >#7 well, at least the ps2 versions for both vns will always be available to download and burn on a dvd. it's very comfy to lay back in your bed with a nice cup of coffee and read an old ass vn on a crt with shit speakers, just the way it was intended at the time |
#9 by sakurakoi 2023-05-20 at 06:01 | < report >Good News: I enjoyed Aoishiro long ago and it will be released just on the day I am supposed to testify. Better News: There's no trial anymore. Bad News: The TL seems seriously 'eh...'. Worse News: That's likely the tip of the iceberg. Worst News: There's no hope. As R-15 (mostly because of violence, there's little in the way of sexual) it does not appeal to those who have a backlog of R-18 and 'real games'. As low-key Yuri it doesn't appeal to a large crowd either. |
#10 by narcosis 2023-05-25 at 10:33 | < report >A mostly forgotten cult classic. This adventure vn was a feat for the PS2 era, truly impressive for it's time. I did check the remake and it seems mostly intact - just as I remember it back from the trial version, but not precisely based off the original pc port, which is a pity. Everything's mostly the same, aside from the 16:9 support which introduces borders, very fitting although some people mind find them a bit distracting and there's no way to turn them off for now. There seems to be a plethora of small bugs and issues within the engine, mostly presentation/graphical glitches. It's not perfect. The translation seems... okayish?; a solid fan translation sort of level, somewhat serviceable, although plenty of word choices are extremely weird to say the least. It could have been better but that's probably not going to happen. All in all, I suppose they rushed a bit to release the game for the late spring/summer season, which is exactly the time you should be playing it. Hopefully they will address the bugs and I'll look forward to playing it again this summer. |

Every time I see a statement like this, I think to myself every game has to be 300 hr long or have some gacha mechanics with live updates. Thanks, but I'd like my branching mystery anime and flip phones back, please. I wish many other old VN were brought back to life and expanded, but I realize that would bankrupt ALL companies instead of a dozen we're lost in recent years.Last modified on 2023-05-26 at 19:43 |
#12 by madokami 2023-05-26 at 03:24 | < report >The official translation is pretty rough. I remember the old fan translation being better than this (but that might be rose tinted shades at work). Hopefully someone cares enough to fix it up. |
