< report >The term visual novel is thrown around, yet many people loosely decide fringe cases based on inconsistent metrics. In this video I'm going to be talking about 10 series that people consider visual novels that I do NOT consider visual novels.

< report >It seems to me you are completely denying concept of hybrid visual novels. And no, vns with minigames are NOT hybrid visual novels at all. I would agree with your video if we would talking about pure vns only. However, vndb is listing hybrids as well - and from that point of view I don't see a problem with titles you mentioned. Requirements for games to be classified as hybrid vns differs VASTLY from pure vns criterias, after all.

< report >Seen vallhalla in the vid and i think i don't need to see the rest. It is a visual novel, other than spending your time making drinks for your customer, you listened to their story. Heck even the latter part of the game it's just reading about Jill and her conflict. Like most of the time i've spent is progressing dialogues instead of mixing shit.
I mean ofc this is according to YOU, but c'mon. I can assume you haven't done it since it's not on your list, so, eh, given takeLast modified on 2022-12-31 at 02:12

< report >This sort of discussion is seriously played out, what i really want to see is a technical analysis on the "% of narration" argument that vndb mods always fall back to.

< report >Glad I blocked automatic playback in my browser so I only saw the thumbnail.
Checking the video's chapters the whole video is dumb, pointless and unnecessary.
