< report >As usual you can vote it in this link, and for the info I vote for Ever Maiden (Liar-soft latest GL VN), Soreyori no Prologue, and Ixseal (Again). Yes I know that it's not like Mangagamer will take the suggestion or the survey seriously (Which is very understandable if most of the people decided to spam the survey with title such as WA2 or Fate Stay Night), but you never know.Last modified on 2023-01-14 at 05:38

< report >@1 For what it's worth I threw in a vote for Ixseal as well. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Alicesoft decided to self-publish that one as they've be doing with their more recent titles.

They actually got the licensing survey out rather quickly this year. You think that's a sign of the times? The list of Alicesoft and Waffle people are interested in titles have almost run dry. The remaining list of partnered companies with a big library of titles still untranslated seem to be Guilty and CLOCKUP.

< report >I decided to vote for Galzoo Island, Ever Maiden, and Fairy Tale Requiem. I think Galzoo is really unlikely, but I can dream.

@2 Alicesoft still has its milf titles even if their gameplay titles are much more beloved. Doesn't Waffle still have a variety of non-Funbag titles, or are they not that notable? Liarsoft has a variety of titles but they also are willing to sell the rights to other companies like Shiravune, so I don't think MG can really count on them. Moonstone still has a decent number of titles.Last modified on 2023-01-14 at 17:10

< report >it's silly to assume they don't even read them, it's equally silly to assume that they matter. MG is not a democracy, we're not shareholders, if we 'vote' for them to buy Key it's not going to happen. there is no universe in which being the most popular game mentioned on the survey will magically get that game licensed.

what it does is give them some insight into what the fanbase is currently into, which might affect how hard they do or don't pursue opportunities that are already in front of them.

< report >#7 mangagamert leaks has shown they dont matter. it's just a place for us to scream into. the surveys are to keep people from suggesting or asking about games.

< report >#8 did you read my post? i outright said they don't "matter" and explained why.

do you honestly think any company would be run by internet poll and that 50 people saying "hey, get the rights to this really popular game" would mean that the company was obligated to do it, no matter how impossible it might be?

< report >#10 I see, that's very depressing. although it's worth mentioning that what they said in these leaks was that the "suggestions" channel in their discord is indeed "just a place for us to scream into", not the surveys themselves. even so, perhaps they follow the Same Rules Apply philosophy here...

< report >Guys, can't we all just agree on specific titles for the 2024 survey? Like, don't treat me like I'm being mean but I don't think it's so hard. Why don't we create a group chat, thread or such and reserve our third spot for a novel someone else would want, and keep our first and second spots the novels we want.

I'm way more than certain that everyone would spare their third spot if it would mean they get to have a choice on someone else's third spot.

It will increase the chances of a game being noticed.
That being said, it's too late for this survey. But come on reply, say your thought, why don't we just do this?

I voted for Mamono Musume no Yakata Suiseikan Igyouroku ~Ningyo no Shou~, Michibikareshi Mono-tachi no Rakuen ~BEDLAM~ and Twinkle Crusaders but I would easily give up a spot for even a gay or BL novel.

< report >I mean, it's fair to not care about some people when they keep asking to localize something like Muramasa and Fate/stay night every year even though it isn't possible for the publisher. Every somewhat big brand has a bunch of not very clever followers and it's only natural to be pissed off by them sometimes
