< report >Okay, so obviously I haven't been very active with regards to VNDB development, yet my backlog of small-things-to-do kept growing in that time. Here is my attempt to shorten said backlog by a tiny bit.

Updates:
- New resolution: 1280x960
- New platforms: Android, Blu-ray player (for BD-PG titles) and Web (for flash/html5 shit)
- Added email confirmation to user registration
- Don't consider 256x384 (NDS) a "bad" resolution when uploading screenshots
- Improved location of the "add release" and "add character" links on VN pages
- Put a hard limit on the number of threads one can make each day
- Various bugfixes

Also note that this update removes the legacy support for old and insecure MD5 passwords. This has the side effect that people who have not logged in to their account since 2009-08-09 will have to use the password recovery feature to log in again. I somehow doubt any of them will notice. I mean, they haven't used their account for more than two years now. :-P

- Put a hard limit on the number of threads one can make each day
Nothing personal since I've started only two threads up to now, but I'm curious to know how many threads a day a user can make.

< report >@arkady18: The limit is to prevent spambots from doing that much harm. As a user you really shouldn't reach that limit. (That is, it's 10 threads/day.)

@atlantima: Oops. (Hopefully) fixed now.Last modified on 2011-08-23 at 19:06

< report >As long as you're changing stuff around, can you put a black border around the DS platform icon? Since it's just white, it doesn't show up well on the lighter layouts: link

< report >Seriously though, you could have put the cap even lower. I thought it would be 3 or max 5 threads/day. As far as I have seen, spambots rarely make more than 10 threads before they are shut down anyway...

< report >I'm a spammer myself, and as far as I remember i've barely posted more than two threads a day. =|

I doubt anyone would open more than 3 threads a day. =\

The only exception would be gabe, tho he is an self-proclaimed spambot who also happens to be a mod during his sane moments, so... yeah.Last modified on 2011-08-24 at 00:21

< report >Hello everyone :)
I sent an email to contact@vndb.org but I didn't get an answer :/
So I thought I try here again... I would like to translate this website into German if you are interested.

Greetings from Germany

Glad you like it. You're welcome.

@stomp
This was already translated by another person who did not finish the translation. I'll fix this... "Doujin Gruppe" would definitely be better.
