There are several VNs that had remakes that changed the art compared to original release (Kono Yo no Hate de Koi o Utau Shoujo YU-NO being the best example). I've noticed that the characters tab for YU-NO only has old art but I feel like the entry should also have how the new character art looks like as well. If possible, there should be a button which allows you to swap between new art and old one (something like this - link). |

Perhaps, if this doesnt get implemented, a way to circumvent this issue could be to create 2 instances of the character, one for before the artstyle change and one for the releases after. |

The solution I'm currently thinking of involves using VN editions, but that also involves replacing char<->release relations with char<->edition relations (which I really want to do anyway) and generally expanding the whole editions system. It's all a bit messy and the transition will take some work, but I plan to work on it at some pointâ„¢. (also catbox.moe doesn't load for me, I assume they have some IP blocks in place) |
