< report >Please make the dash (-) equal to a space because, for some reason, I can't stop myself to type Clock-Up and get no result, or Pin Point when the search engine is too strict and ask for Pin-Point.

< report >I wonder how no one has reported it yet. In character edit form, character type box (protagonist/main/side) is for some reason blank. It's impossible to determine which type you choose. Relevant pic.

< report >I broke that a few hours ago and sneakily fixed it about 20 minutes later. The fix requires a good refresh, however. Shift+F5 should do the trick.

< report >Really long character names are screwing the layout and even adding an horizontal scrollbar to the box.
The scrollbar appears for Sengoku † Koihime ~Otome Kenran ☆ Sengoku Emaki~ in 1600x900 when there are four columns. Below, the overflow is not handled with names overlapping their status.

Handling user input is the pleasure of every web designer.

< report >When you write a v[ID] code in the note field of a release, like link, the code is not formatted as in the discussion board with the name appearing instead of the code itself.
I don't know if it's the only place but maybe producer/character/staff/etc editors are suffering from the same error. I do remember having troubles with that, forced to format the url myself but I never thought of reporting that until I saw it happened to u74686. (<<It would nice to apply that to users too.)

Edit: what about link ;_;Last modified on 2016-03-08 at 22:51

When you specify wrong multiple boards for a thread, it gives you a server internal error instead of explaining you that you linked the same board twice.
Ultra-late, but fixed by automatically removing duplicate boards.

I discovered vndb is using that db I never heard about before, NFO/animenfo, and all the links I tried are dead.
AnimeNFO used to be the main anime database before AniDB was created. Which is a looooong time ago. But indeed the links stopped working for some reason, so I've hidden them for now.

< report >When a release is moved to another vn entry and a user has marked this release as owned, the new vn will not be marked as unknown for the user automatically, so will the old vn not be removed from the user's vnlist.
As far as I see, owning a release of a vn while not having this vn on your vnlist is a state that should never be possible.

I noticed this when the Majikoi A releases were moved to new separate pages.

< report >t3314.1032 unapproved and deleted traits could be added to characters if specified directly with iNNN format. seems like an oversight in character edit code.

will it break anything if traitxml function returns approved traits only? although it still could be bypassed then by manual meddling with character form data, so more thorough check might be required.

< report >@213: fixed. Deleted and unapproved traits now can not be selected and will be silently removed when editing. I was surprised by the lack of validation at the back end, but fortunately postres would disallow dangling references anyway.

While i was at it i also ran a script to remove all existing trait links to deleted/unapproved traits. See u1 edits for the list.Last modified on 2017-03-03 at 09:59

Anyway, it should be fixed.

Can Rape by Proxy be fixed to say 'he or she'?

< report >
Not all rapists are boys.

India disagrees... along with a bunch of psycho- and sociopaths, also to be precisely usually one is talking about wermen only being able to rape (not just boys/male servants or actually like it is, all men/human beings)

Seriously though, it's not even direct rape but as it says, having one force another to perform sexual acts or rather intercourse with someone else (this trait rather is sexual assault by proxy) and a kind of blackmail.

Also, it ain't "he or she" but simply "they". "They" is a very handy pronoun which can even include a single entity/character with whatever and without any sex (and not just a group of something).

I swear to god that was a 'he' yesterday. Was I tired?
Nope, it was simply fixed. Traits and Tags merely lack a (public) history tab since only moderators and higher can change them...

unless there is some secret system which allows experienced/proven/recognized/whatever users to do (and view) as well, I wouldn't know~

< report >I did write a long criticism on the choice of "they", but after some research apparently it is fine in this case? Still reads really weird though, especially because "they" is still followed by "are".

Wouldn't a easier way be just to write "this character" again, to avoid all this weirdness?Last modified on 2017-06-05 at 05:54

< report >There is nothing weird about this. "They are" can refer either to a group of characters or a singular character when we don't want to define the gender. It reads much better than writing "he or she".
