< report >Tried to submit "Drag Performer" as a trait, but it turns out one of the aliases I set was already rejected (Role > Drag Queen).

I think the concern over misuse can be alleviated a bit by keeping "performer" in the main trait name and having Drag Queen as an alias (alongside "Drag King" and "Drag Artist"). Here's the description I had fwiw:

>This character performs in drag.
>
>Drag is a type of performance that relies on exaggerated gendered traits. Drag artists who take on a feminine persona are called drag queens, and drag artists who take on a masculine persona are called drag kings. While most drag queens are men and most drag kings are women, crossdressing is not a requirement for drag. Drag shows frequently involve singing or lip-syncing, dancing, stand-up comedy, and/or skit performances.
>
>This trait should not be used for characters who crossdress solely in a non-performance context.

< report >So is Engages in > Infanticide intended for only infants or should it be a trait for murdering one's own child of any age (even adult)? I checked wikipedia and it'd be filicide(link) I guess.

< report >Is there a word that could maybe cover infanticide, filicide, etc?

Filicide is only used for older children, isn't it? There has to be some umbrella term that can cover it all.

< report >Filicide seems to be the term that covers a child up to the age of 18, so I think that would be the preferred title with infanticide as an alias.
Prolicide seems to be the term for killing of one's child regardless of age, so I think I'll turn the trait into that instead with filicide and infanticide as aliases.Last modified on 2022-06-21 at 20:13

< report >Is it correct that the trait Subject of > Genderless is under the category Subject of? Reading its description it seems to fit more as a Role or perhaps as another option in the "Sex" field of the "General info" tab and not as a trait.

< report >Honestly, I'd say it's better under role as well. I don't know why I suggested it under "subject of".

If it was another option of the "sex" field, that would be great. But that's wishful thinking I feel. It's somewhat misleading to use the "both" sexes option for characters who have no gender.

< report >Also, there are many characters that fit the trait Role > Otouto Act and Role > Ani Act. When I requested these traits, I could still add tags to characters. I'll add them to said characters once I get my permissions back, but for the time being just trust me.

< report >As for Role > Astronomer, I believe the "astronomer" trait should be different from "stargazing." While stargazing is more of a hobby, an "astronomer" is more of a job and should be it's own role. Maybe make it clear in the description that the "astronomer" trait should only be applied to professionals?

< report >Body > Very apparent muscles

Two wrongs does not make it right, Ileca. I understand why you want this, but rather than cleaning the actual original trait, you would rather stack an ugly tumour onto it and call the job done. I agree with your musings that characters like Aina, Delphine, Maria Sainte shouldn't be under muscular, but I would rather you create a new trait, something like Athletic (with aliases Fit/Toned) and moved all the characters that do not fit under the muscular trait.

I thought about that but if we do:

>Muscular
>Athletic

then you will have mistagging because muscular doesn't mean apparent muscles. Having an athletic body is being muscular.
That's why I proposed a subtag that graduate the response: a main pool with everything muscular/athletic and a subpool for the muscle fetishists.
Delphine will not satisfy any muscle fetishist but let says the VN talks about how muscular she is. We never see her muscles but her actions demonstrate that she is indeed pretty muscular. She should be tagged as Muscular, but not with Very Apparent Muscles.
Also, I defined my tag as "very" because it's not enough to just have surface level muscles like six pack outline or some biceps.
That's why I didn't try to "clean" the muscular trait, because there is a reason for it to be what it is now: it is a generic body type. In fact, you can be muscular and obese. Just look at powerlifting athletes.

< report >As it currently stands, Subject of > Bimbofication is messing with the results. It makes bimbo and gyaru equivalent. You can see that searching for bimbo will flood the results with gyaru. I suggest to remove it from under bimbo/gyaru. Those characters must be tagged with bimbo and gyaru anyway, on top of bimbofication, as they are not the same thing, or it becomes impossible to distinguish which subject of bimbofication is a gyaru and which one is a bimbo. I wouldn't mind two separate traits bimbofication and gyaruka with defs of gyaru/bimbo clarifying that bimbo is the non Japanese/western equivalent of gyaru.Last modified on 2022-06-29 at 03:14

< report >following u54182's recent edit streak regarding Hair > Bald/Hair > Balding, those traits' description should be altered.
characters might still have eyebrows/beards/body hair, so current Hair > Bald definition with "no hair" is too strict, i propose
Hair > Bald: This character is having a scalp wholly lacking hair.

Hair > Balding, on the other hand, requires "partial hair on top of one's head", which does not match the way u54182 applies it, with characters having no hair on top and some hair on sides of their head. so wording should be changed in a way that includes these cases, but excludes otherwise bald characters with only facial hair. personally i can't think of a concise definition that doesn't use word "bald", thus becoming self-referential.

< report >
As it currently stands, Subject of > Bimbofication is messing with the results.
I was waiting until someone notices that. Figures it's gotta be you :-)
I'll remove Bimbofication as a parent. Won't create two similar and basically interchangeable traits, even if it would make the trait tree a bit nicer.

characters might still have eyebrows/beards/body hair, so current Hair > Bald definition with "no hair" is too strict
Who would ever take non-head hair into account when it comes to baldness? I'm not against tinkering with the description, but i don't think eyebrows/beards were ever a problem.

Hair > Balding, on the other hand, requires "partial hair on top of one's head", which does not match the way u54182 applies it, with characters having no hair on top and some hair on sides of their head
I mean, you have a strange definition of 'top' and 'sides'. Hair tufts over your ears would still be the 'top' of your head. The 'sides' of your head are called cheeks :-D

< report >Now that the vtuber tag is approved, can we also have a vtuber trait? Role > Virtual Online Streamer was denied, but that was 18 months ago before it was clear that there were plenty of VNs with them in it and perhaps before people on here realized how distinct they are from normal streamers. While it doesn't need to be added in that exact form as before and can be reworded if needed, I'm just hoping a vtuber trait would be allowed now.
