< report >No, I still think it has absolutely nothing to do with the "scenario selection". It looks like a perfectly normal choice system, that just happens to have only one decision point at the very beginning of the game.
It's completely different from choosing different stories from the menu/selection screen/whatever.

< report >Can "unlockable side stories" (g489) cover non-unlockable side stories? And if not, is it worth making a tag for that?
In particular, I'm thinking about Kamidori Alchemy Meister (v5652), where side stories are available from main menu from the very beginning.

< report >@#52: I guess those could fit under "unlockable side stories" because they are "unlocked" by patchs/add-on.

< report >Would it be a good idea to add a tag "Blinking eyes" under Style > Presentation > Graphics > Sprites? Or is it too specific to be useful?

For some reason it's a feature that really stands out for me when I play a VN and I know it irritates some people, so knowing whether or not characters in a game have blinking animations might be useful for a potential reader.Last modified on 2013-04-19 at 16:52

< report >Can the alias Hitodzuma be moved from Married Heroine g515 to be the alias for Netori g514 ?

It's entirely possible for a married heroine to only have sex with her husband but the term, meaning another person's wife, implies Netori

< report >Sorry Barfboy but you are messing different things, Hitozuma is a role/vocation and as that it belong under g20 where it is.
And netori is a sexual contented theme.
Two different things, which could be interact but are in core two distinct things.
Okay, netori is categorized under g381 which implies participiants, but that does not mean that you could sum up all possible participants under the tag as an alias.

< report >Guess it goes there?
If I include "Nukige" & "Villainous Protagonist" and exclude "Fan-fiction" and sort the result by date, the first one that comes out is "Lock-ON Endless Choukyou Kissa" which doesn't have both tags. Haven't checked the other ones though.

< report >@chipp12: It has a Nukige tag, and g406 (which it has) implies g354, due to being a child tag of it.

< report >I am willing to bet you a search for 'hitozuma', barring those with no description, 100% of them will be Netori

Well, I'm not even going to try posting them all, there's 4 pages of them.

In context of VNs there's no reason to even use the term except in cases of netori. Leaving it under 'married heroine' is weird as you can have the protagonist's wife as a heroine and she would obviously not be another man's wife.

It's not a huge deal, I can search for 'netori' and most of the tags under 'married heroine' are also netori. It's just bothersome as next to none of the Hitozuma games have been tagged yet.

< report >Nope, hitozuma as another one's wife is still a married heroine, for the protagonist's wife you have g1435, which is sadly a child-tag of married heroine.
But these are still roles/vocations whereas netori is a theme.

You postulate that the alias of a role/vocation should be moved from its right place to be the alias of a theme because usually novels with this theme have an hitozuma as an heroine.
This would be like putting boy (少年) and girl (女の子) as aliases for g1337 as these are usually the subjects of this vile act.
I don't think this is the way you intend to twist the logic.

And to be honest, nearly everyone with an intresst or an abversion to NTR knows if there is an hitozuma in the title what to expect.

Why do you belive it is necessary that this alias for a vocations needs to be shifted to netori?
'Wife stealing' would be a much more better case, for all those without knowledge of the japanese term.Last modified on 2013-04-29 at 17:10

< report >Tag Proposal:

(Tags > Style > Presentation)
This VN features stereophonic sound reproduction.

(Tags > Character > Misc. Character Tags)
At least one of the characters wear shimapan in a significant duration.
Shimapan is an abbreviation of shima-pantsu (striped panties), are one of the new wave moe fashions to sweep the otaku landscape.

*Blind spot sex
(Tags > Theme > Sexual Content > Sexual Content by Activity)
The game features sexual activity done in discreet from third-person audience(s) unaware of the act. e.g. caressing partner's genitals under the table, sex where one of the participant is invisible, etc.

*Mirror sex
(Tags > Theme > Sexual Content > Sexual Content by Activity)
This VN features sexual act(s) in front of a mirror.

*Unconcious sex
(Tags > Theme > Sexual Content > Sexual Content by Activity)
Features scene(s) with sexual act(s) done to someone in an unconscious state.

Any comments, objections, violent reactions, etc. before I submit the tags?

< report >The last three could work, but stereo is just silly (I mean, really, why would that be ever necessary?) while striped panties would work better as a character trait, as I see no merit in tagging a VN with such a generic and inconsequential element.

Also, unconscious sex should go under Tags > Theme > Sexual Content > Darker Sexual Contents > Sexual Harassment > Rape, as having sex with someone while said person is unconscious is like the textbook example of "initiating sexual intercourse without the partner's consent"...

< report >"unconcious" doesn't mean non-consensual that's why it shouldn't necessarily fall under darker stuff. Consider the ff scenarios:

Imouto: Onii-chan! Oniichan!! Ikkuuuuu~!! ahhh~... Your's is still hard... but I'm already sleepy... Just continue... mwah~... zzzzzzz
Onii-chan: Uoooooo! You asked for it. Well then, here goes nothing! Round 7!!!!
Imouto: zzzzzzz

Onii-chan: Imouto-san! Pull yourself together. Wake up! Don't die! Don't give up on me! If you die, who else would pop out my children?
Imouto: ..........
Onii-chan: ....... There's no other way. I must do that (link). Here I come!Last modified on 2013-04-30 at 15:20

< report >For shimapan, if you think it's worth it, maybe it should be a child tag to:
Tags > Character > Heroine > Heroines Traits > Heroines Appearance > Heroines Clothing and Accessories > Heroine with Visible Panties

For Stereo, I have doubts about which case would make it significant (do you really want to take or avoid a vn especially because it has stereo sound?I know some VN have buggy volume control and sound, is it about that sort of thing?)

For Unconcious sex, might need more details, and maybe adding that it is separate from Sex with Sleepers, Sex Involving Hypnosis, and maybe other tags.Last modified on 2013-04-30 at 17:30

< report >g1551 is very similar and it's not under rape. It may be true that most of this stuff isn't consensual, but I highly doubt that v5295 has anything actually dark.

I'm not sure if there's a need for unconscious sex tag though. How many scenes feature unconscious characters that aren't simply sleeping? And does it make a big difference?
Maybe it can be used under darker sexual content tags, as a more violent version of g1551 (as knocking somebody out usually requires some violence)?

As for Stereo tag... WTF? :P

< report >re: "Blind spot sex".
I think a better tag name would be "discreet sex". It might go as a child tag of g735, if that doesn't adequately cover it already.

< report >I'm satisfied with link. I never really know beforehand that such tag is already existing. I still think that unconscious is broader than sleeper tho.

"discreet sex" under link sounds good.

As for "stereo", I'm talking about stereophonic effects. Lem'me guess, you guys don't use headphones in playing/reading VNs, aren'tya?
Whatever... I thought of this tag since I notice the significant difference in reading/playing experience with VNs with stereo effects and VNs with just non-stereo. Well, technically, almost all VNs, epecially new ones, has stereophonic audio reproduction but not all of em have the so called stereo effects.
VNs with stereo effects usually have variable sound volume with respect to the relative left-right position of the source. If a character's sprite is in the left side of the VN interface, then the sound or speech he/she project would be louder on your left speaker compared to the right. This won't make you feel like you are just "listening to the screen" so I say that it does matter. Such sound production effect is best appreciated with headphones.
