What do you think Tenco will do after Gold? Hopefully another SLG but with different characters and setting but with similar gameplay.

How much time passed from the original eiyuu senki when Tenco announced Gold? Its still early for their next game announcement?

Anyways eiyuu senki discussion!

Who knows, Eiyuu Senki apparently works really well so they're bound to continue the series, with probably the same kind of changes that Sangoku/Sengoku Hime brought after each episodes, like different routes (starting points, for instance landing at Alexandria instead of usual Japan or something it could make for totally different stories), maybe route splits if some objectives aren't met. I kinda want them to make fights more interesting too, and not by adding 50+ items like they did here, some real changes.

Maybe some more Kingdom Management, there could be the old easy mode where you only have to worry about military and the harder difficulties introduce more management problems like garrisons, resources etc...

That being said, so long as there is a decent amount of Events for Balin, Siegfried, Galahad, Gawain and Benkei then I'll be a happy and satisfied man.

Thinking about it there aren't many characters I don't like... those are mainly Rasputin, Nero and Montezuma but I really like all the others. Oh yeah Seimei too, but that's because she speaks Kansai-ben and it gives me headaches sometimes otherwise I like her too hehe.

As for what game they could do, I don't know at all. Their next game could be totally non-related to ES.

My dream game ? A "Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI"-like game with Eiyuu Senki characters. I'd play the crap out of that.

Yeah Gold improved a lot of things like making most characters useful, i remember not using many mages in the first one since most had uselless buffs or debuff skills.

If i remember well wasnt the first few news that Gold was going to have routes? That wasnt true in the end but hopefully they make up for it.

Would like characters like Hannibal, Tristam, Lu Bu, Cook and others to get some love this time.

And the crossover character to be useful too because Kenshin and Hazakura were pretty uselless (Even Mordred is a better unit than Hazakura).

And hopefully improved soundtrack because Gold OST is miles better than the first one wich have so few ones i can remember.

I have been thinking maybe they could make the next game with genderbended deities this time like Odin, Zeus and what not.

Hopefully this year they will announce something.

So story-wise Gold is basically the same as the original, making Gold basically an "expansion"?Last modified on 2014-07-31 at 15:26

No the story is very different, for one the MC origin is pretty different and characters like Himiko, Arthur, Takeru, Gilgamesh has less depth in favor of making the game more harem like even Masamune the main girl actively tries to expand the MC harem so she isnt as annoying as Himiko (Like Masamune only gets one H-scene in GOLD compared to like 4 that Himiko got in the original).

Its basically a new universe that shares the same characters.

The story is probably the only part of the first ES that is better than Gold.

The best change in Gold is like kratos said, a fair amount of events for all heroines, that was needed. And by routes maybe they meant 'the choice of who to attack first", because that's what happens a few times IIRC. You can choose to declare war on X or Y first.

They can't really do anything about the guest characters though since they're not theirs. And I don't know about you but I think Kenshin was pretty fucking OP gameplay-wise... Haven't found Seiso yet, mainly because I stopped playing Gold halfway, have to finish it.

Well it's a bit too soon, in my opinion, for another announcement but who knows, early next year sounds like a decent time to me. We'll see.

Yeah i began my NG+ runs on both games and then found out how annoyingly Himiko centric was the first game and how so many characters getting like 7 events while others only around 3 or less (Like Achilles only getting one).

I cant really wait what they will do next, i just hope its not a VN with no gameplay.

To someone who hasn't played either game, you'd recommend Gold then? For someone who's played Gold, would you recommend playing the original?

The pros and cons are like this:

-Gold allows characters to equip up to three items per character unlike the 2 of the original (Exceptions apply here).

-Unless you are a fan of Himiko, Arhur, Nobunaga and most Japan characters you are going to be annoyed at how many characters got ignored (from the 60 or so characters only 30 got Hscenes while some characters like Himiko getting 5) in the original compared to Gold (Were 56 Heroines got H-scenes and the game gives all girls screen time).

-Himiko. The original game shoves down your troath that she is the heroine and the "true wife" and most of the game will focus on her getting the other characters sidelined.

-Gameplay wise both are good (The closest comparison would be Fire emblem or Langrisser since ES uses its own version of weapon triangle while the world map is similar to Sengoku Rance) but Gold is better since so many characters gets better buffed (Like in the original healing is pretty uselless while in Gold useful and most mages in the first one sucks compared to Gold) opening more party variations. Also Gold has many battle events that offers substancially more content than the original.

-The story is definitelly better in the first game while in Gold is pretty weak but since the characters are the meat of the series Gold is better in that regard.

-The first game managed to get an interface patch so if you havent played any of the games you could start with the first one to get accustomed to it.

I played both at the same time so while Gold is much better the first one deserves a playthrought, if you dont care about the sex then you could wait for the PS3 localization of the first game.Last modified on 2014-08-02 at 01:01

i was going to say the touit is just saying a notice is planned for next week but then when I wanted to close my tab I saw the てんこちゃん 新作準備中 and this indeed confirm it's about unveiling a new work (Tenko-chan - new work in preparation).

Thanks. Kinda surprising since they have done nothing except hel Oyari with Machine Child.
I hope they still use Chihaya as the MC.

I hope they do something else than Eiyuu*Senki PLATINUM. I want a visual novel, without gameplay or few SLG elements at best. I know it won't happen, even Oyari is working on something that looks completely empty story-wise.

Well i meant more of a new setting but still using the same protag seeing as even though its the same guy who he is and his origins are entirely different (The sky give form and part of the Pandora Box).
I want it to have gameplay mainly because it would he a rare vanilla gameplay VN.

What the heck with those fuckers blocking TOR Japanese exit nodes?? I had to put up with that gogole cancer bullying me for using a proxy. Im-po-ssi-ble to get the cached version, I had to use goggle translate. All of that for a gachacrap. Hmffff breathe in, pffffaaaa breathe out, hmmmffff. Haha, as if I needed to be cockblocked to be angry at a gachage!

Anyway,
Eiyuu*Senki WW (all-age version): link
Eiyuu*Senki WWX (18+ version): link

Looking at how suferdude translate Gold piece by piece, it makes sense to sell the pieces through this scam model.

And... here we go, lost the access. Not that it matters.

Would Nutaku try to pick this up? Can't imagine any other company in the scene trying this model out.

Not happy about this new direction for the series, but some of the new girls look really cute. I hope someone will rip the CGs.

Kinda cheap that they will use the other games scenes. Guess i will forgive this if girls like Hannibal and Tristam get H-scenes and someone makes a TABAlike viewer for it.
Still pretty dissapointed.
Also doesnt heavy loli means Nutaku wont touch this? Hard to imagine one of the most popular loli artists game being touched by them.

#19 whats a tabalike viewer? im a fan off Hscenes and from your short description its seems like a think that lets me see h scenes from pay to win hentai games which would be great because I'm not doing a Pay to win hentai game.

Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena has a lots of fans but also a lot of defractors who dont care for the gacha so yeah they made a viewer where you can see the scenes by clicking at a gallery just like you would a normal VN scene viewer. But its a community effort and since that series has a lots of fans you cant expect a viewer out of any gacha but from the most dedicated fans so ES getting one is highly unlikely.

Same. I thought all these years of inactivity (5 years after GOLD) meant they spent it working on a new IP with as much scope as ES but i guess their games having so many VAs eventually caught up to them and despite the series apparent popularity they probably lost money on them. But yeah as it is i consider Tenco dead.

A remote possibility may be that there will be a port to PC at some point, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Me neither. Moreso as i said they seem to be reusing CGs of previous games so i dont know if the new content would be enough to sustain a game. The fact that they didnt port GOLD to consoles or steam tells me that they have dropped any plan to work on an offline game.
