< report >^looking at the ratings most of us bore with its dated system and totally loved the (immense) story. But yeah, there's room for improvement.

< report >I would love to have a remake of sorts with maybe an improved system and art. Then again, knowing 5pb it's most likely going to be consoles no matter what this new project is.

< report >Wait... I used a bit of google translate on the twitter post but... i still am not sure what to think of it.
Is this a remake? If it is, then oh boy this new year will be a torture to wait out until the new yu-no comes out. I'm personally very attached to the vn and ANYTHING that's new would be amazing. This is kind-of like an impossible dream come true, especially since the last time anyone created something yu-no related was.... well... in 1998 when the goddamn game was made! hahaha
But yeah, I'm really excited for this.
So are they remaking the whole vn on a console?

< report >Chances are, it's a remake. This is going to be awesome but...... chances are I wont enjoy it as much as the original. The retro yet amazing art and really amazing ryu unemoto ost made this game amazing for me (along with the epic plot, ofc ).
I doubt they'll be using the same style they used in here =(

< report >I like the key visual, but whether the updated art will be an improvement is both subjective and anyone's guess at this point.

The game system could use some fine-tuning to make it less of a pain to navigate (while making sure to retain its fascinating nature) but that should be doable, in theory.

The two parts that I really wonder about are the NTR elements and the last section of the story. Of course, the adaptation will be all-ages, but I fear that 5pb may be tempted to write out all the NTR in an attempt to boost sales (like how I heard they changed Ever17...). And the last section of the story is excellent in some ways, but I personally felt it was very rushed or flawed in others, so I selfishly hope 5pb might hire a talented writer to flesh out the story and characters.

Although I suppose it's probably more likely that 5pb's writer(s) will rewrite the entire game in a terrible way than improve it at all.

< report >Well it's going to be all-ages apparently so chances are it's going to not have the Ayumi NTR route =(

< report >I just finished this game only 2 months ago, and I have to say that it's the best experience I ever had. Just like finishing a very good book, I realized that no other fictional work captivated me this much. The music was great for its time and even today, and that makes me hope they don't change a lot of things in the remastered version since the original was what made it so great.

Yu-No was probably one of the first games, if not the first one, to implement such a timeflow/flow-chart mapping system, and the story and the execution revolving around it was for sure my favourite aspect of it all.

I can't wait to give this new one a try~

< report >So, what happened to this? It's been several months since it was announced and 5pb has said nothing since.

@15

Yeah, it's one of my favorite VNs. I hope 5pb can do a good job. They most likely will redraw the graphics, and there will probably be arranged music. Hopefully they'll give us the option to use the old graphics or music. As for voice acting, I'm going to guess they'll hire new voice actors.Last modified on 2015-05-21 at 02:52

The voice acting in the original were too good, the amount of cheesiness were none and I hope it comes close to that with the new voices. I was actually surprised to learn by hearing that the man who voiced Takuya was the same person who voiced adult Link in Ocarina of Time; it becomes noticeable when Takuya screamed or gasped.Last modified on 2015-05-21 at 20:28

< report >Yu-No remake character designs.

Haven't seen them myself yet, but on the reddit thread where I found the link, they don't seem to be very popular. :/

< report >I wouldn't say she looks great. Certainly better than the other redesigns, but definitely not great. Besides I couldn't imagine Eriko without a cigarette. They also made her look much younger than in the original.Last modified on 2015-07-11 at 00:39

< report >Okay, after gazing at the character designs for the remake, they're... Less than I expected. I'll still play it but I'm sure it won't be as good as the original... I'm sure...
