#124 I know. My spoiler setting is always at "spoil me!", and it's strange, that the History doesn't show these characters, even if they're secret. The one who added their cast is already spoiled their self, moreover, when you enter the edit cast tab, all VAs will appear there regardless of the spoiler level, so I still can't see the reason to hide it form people with whatever spoiler settings. If it's not a bug, of course.

#125 That's strange. I think I checked them before adding actors. I really don't get enough sleep this week >_<

^ cast list becomes hard to track when there's more than 8-10 entries. it's a limitation of the current interface. maybe sorting character by name would help a little, i don't know.

I'm sorry if it was written somewhere, but how can I add a completely new Staff/Seiyuu?

^You have to submit a request to the "request staff" thread here: t6144.
Only moderators can add staff now to prevent a deluge of bad entries.

Is there a way to handle "coupled with" kind of vocals? I mean, when some OP/ED has more than 2 vocalists, it looks stupid, when you listing all singers separately just for a single song, repeating the note each time. Can you somehow extend our opportunities, so we could add all the singers in one entry, and write only one note?

Or maybe it would be smarter to add all staff (including composer, lyrics, etc) for the song at once? I mean, to make the songs independent, with staff linked. Oh my! I think I'm losing my mind (X_x)Last modified on 2015-02-22 at 04:12

Could you extend the note fields? When editing a notes like this, it turns into self-humiliation (>_<)
Also, it would be more convenient to have Composer and Vocals listed consecutively. As well as Artist and Character Designer. I would even suggested to arrange the staff in the order like this:
Scenario -> Artist -> Character Design -> Composer -> Vocals -> Director -> Staff.
Eh? I missed the script coder? I honestly don't understand why we need this. Who would fap on it? Who would choose a VN being based on the script staff?

^ i'd switch chardesign with artist. otherwise i agree.

i was saying this all along.

extend the note fields
you could do it with custom css in your profile settings, add this to "Additional CSS":
#jt_box_vn_staff td.tc_note input { width: 400px }
or whatever width you'd find comfortable.

Thank you! 650 is just fine for me.

i'd switch chardesign with artist
You're right.

No, you was saying:
script=scenario, you don't make any sense.
script is a scenario, and scenario is a script
Which you then used as justification to revert completely fine edits with "script" as misc role.

Whether script should be major role or minor role is completely different issue from alleging that "script=scenario" (c) and should not exist at all.

oh, it's you again. because it shouldn't be called "script" in the first place. it's a copycat of "sukuripto", but the word "script" have a different meaning in English (yes, it's "scenario"). this role should be called "coding" or whatever, instead of plain katakana transliteration. or rather shouldn't exist at all, yes. as it is, 'staff' is more than enough for such minor roles.

but the word "script" have a different meaning in English
Nope. Script is exactly same thing as スクリプト:
script (plural scripts)
(computing) A file containing a list of user commands, allowing them to be invoked once to execute in sequence.
this role should be called "coding" or whatever
No, it should not. In same way we don't use "writing" for "scenario" or "drawing" for "artist", we shouldn't use "coding" here. "Script" is obvious for everyone except you.

^ come on, this definition is limited to computer science. if you look into commonly used definitions, there wouldn't be such words. many users who add credits to database wouldn't be aware of such a difference, so there should be clear distinction between "scenario" and "script as japanese credits use it". i'd say the best distinction would be eradication of "script" as a separate role.

There are cases when game is notorious for its amazing scripting — Aokana, Mahoyo, Natsukuru, MLA, Amatsukaze and so on, and it does make sense to record scripting staff for them.

However, for most games, scripting is very plain and done by random nobodies, so having major role is counter-productive and encourages adding pointless staff entries, so I believe correct approach would be to convert existing records to [Staff][Script] and then remove according major role, letting further additions of scripting staff be handled on case-by-case basing.

So, wakaranai, would you be so kind to implement our consensus? Or should we get Yorhel's or someone else's approval first?

It's pretty much a three-line change. I can do that. Sometime...

I think it would be a good idea to add VAs into characters filter.

For example, I like certain seiyuu, and I played the routes of some characters voiced be her. But these characters where funny/clumsy/deredere, etc. Now I want to search for a more dramatic roles of this seiyuu with vindictive/pessimist/suicide traits.

Is it possible?

UPD: one more suggestion is to add "Not Voiced" entry for the characters, that are... weren't voiced at all. When a character has no seiyuu listed, it provokes the question: why nobody has added an actor? With "Not Voiced" it should be clear.Last modified on 2015-04-05 at 04:29

Again I forget in which topic I should recommend adding missing seiyuu.
Can you add Yuino Megumi (結野恵)?
She's voicing this character.

Is your computer set to Japanese locale? Without that most Japanese VNs won't run properly. Also, you're in the wrong thread.Last modified on 2015-06-24 at 11:00

That's how. As for the right thread, you have to make it. You either start a thread in link or start one on VN's page. What you should not do is spamming. Nobody likes that.
