IndieGala has a Steam bundle featuring Eden* They Were Only Two, On The Planet, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, X-Note, Blue Rose, and Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~ (which must have some contractual obligation to be included in every VN bundle ever despite everyone probably already owning it). $1.99 for the next 17 hours.

Here's a free Steam code for Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~, first come first serve:

You beat me to the punch by mere seconds, minah. :p

Also, @24: The TLC efforts for konosora had basically turned into a retranslation effort headed by one man, pabloc. Additional help has finally been recruited and there is now an actual light at the end of this tunnel. A patch retranslating the common route, twin routes and the kotori route will supposedly be releasing in the near future, and I'm hopeful we won't have to wait too much longer for the rest.Last modified on 2015-06-29 at 20:21

@DK382: I didn't know that. I knew about Pabloc, but the last time I asked it was a one man project, with most others leaving. That was about a year ago if I remember correctly. I thought that the project was dead and buried by now. Good to hear that it isn't.

As for the bundle, I literally have everything of interest in there, so it doesn't even worth that 2 bucks.

I checked it out myself as well and the only VN that doesn't have bad reviews and I still don't have is x-note and I'm not sure about it. In the end I decided not to buy it.
It would have been neat to get Onikakushi, eden* and even go go nippon for only 2 euros though.

Thank you very much, I had 3 dollars left in my paypal and got to use it.

I wanted Higurashi and Eden. Wasn't interested in Go Go, but I do like Overdrive so why not. The others I'm still on the fence about whether I want to try though.

Might as well drop this here instead of starting a new thread: Snow Light is free for the next eight hours on

I'm about to take that bundle too but I have a question, what exactly is the "Chapter 1" under Higurashi. Is there only a part of the story available or something ?

Higurashi is four chapters long, and each chapter of the new version will be released separately. So only Chapter 1 is available now.

Eight chapters if you count Kai, which you should.

I see, thanks for the answers.

So that means the story will cut off at some point then ? I might take it and just wait until all the chapters are out then =P

Yes and no. Each chapter both has a concrete ending, and also leads into a larger narrative.

So kind of like Umineko's episode system then ? Each having some sort of ending but the story itself continues ?

Would you recommend I wait until the full thing is out ?

Very much like Umineko with stories that "repeat", except with one big difference, there is no meta-world story that overtly ties everything together. But they do tie everything together in the last couple chapters. (Pretty minor higurashi spoiler about the story structure)

So, a bit more episodic than Umineko. With that in mind, I'd say it's not as big of a deal to wait between chapter releases, but it's up to your own level of patience.Last modified on 2015-07-01 at 01:28

Oh I see, I might start it then. I'm patient enough to wait for The Walking Dead & Game of Thrones episodes by TTG, this should be manageable =P

Thanks again for the answers !

^ Specifically:
$1 tier:
Heartful Kareshi ~Kibou no Gakuen to Shiroi Tsubasa~
Loren The Amazon Princess (includes DLC)

Beat the Average (~$4) tier:
The Royal Trap
Sakura Spirit

$11 tier:

Good deal if you don't have those already! (Hatoful Boyfriend & Loren have been bundled before, but I think this is the first time for the others.)

TyranoBuilder is a VN creation tool. Apparently it's much easier to use compared to RenPY.
