< report >Hey guys I'm new here at vndb and I wanna say this genre is underrated and I really didn't expect to enjoy it and honestly I wouldn't be here , if steins gate and zero escape series happened and I wanna say I am hyped for zero escape 3 and steins; gate zero, so I would glad too hear your opinion on both series.

< report >Well, Zero Escape can be described in one word, "mindfuck". It wasn't the biggest mindfuckery I've ever seen, but it's definitely up there in my top something, especially 999. The sequel was a bit underwhelming at first since it was kinda slow-paced and I already knew what I was getting into so the pressure and sense of anxiety I liked about 999 didn't quite make it through, plus I spoiled some plot-twists for myself when browsing the wiki after 999.
It still managed to pleasantly surprise me at the end, it just didn't need to be so cliffhanger-ish. Right now I'm just glad we're getting a 3rd instalment.
Also, mysteriously, after I finished the two games, everything I picked up afterwards eventually led to time-travel and butterfly effect in some form or another.

As for Steins;Gate, I still haven't finished the first one. I'm currently juggling a let's play of the visual novel with the anime adaptation because of my sister. She dropped the let's play after 4 hours of us watching because it was a bit slow-paced (a lot actually). The anime seemed easier to manage AND it's rated really well. I would've watched it afterwards anyway so might as well combine them and compare what they changed.Last modified on 2015-09-26 at 10:12

< report >I really hate Aksys right now for having no physical releases for Europe... It wasn't a problem with the first game on the region-free DS and the second got a nice release by Rising Star and was one of the main reasons I bought a 3DS, but now I'm suddenly unable to finish one of my favorite series simply because they apparently just don't want to sell it to me.Last modified on 2016-03-22 at 19:12

< report >Well, it's probably because no one wants to buy it here, no? Don't you think so? Yeah, they probably just don't want you to play your favorite game.

< report >I'd be happy even with a physical release for the Windows version, since that one would not be region locked, but so far it looks like that will be digital only as well... :(
