< report >Are we just supposed to brush off Sena's daddy issues? Look at this.

This is half the route. They make it seem like she only falls in love with Takumi because he reminds her of her dad. You think they would resolve this at some point, but nope.

The daddy issues just keep coming, and it sure doesn't stop them from having sex. Is there really any point to putting this plot point in the game? Because I don't think it's turning anyone on.

For that matter, I guess we're supposed to be fine with how Akari falls in love with someone who looks exactly like her brother because they're actually half-siblings, but that overused plot point just pisses me off more.

< report >It's just their dynamic, not actual incest but more of a sexual fantasy.

Obviously it's a little unhealthy to carry this over into the actual romantic relationship, but it's not very pronounced outside of the bedchamber anyway.

< report >At least she never calls him daddy while doing the dirty.

From what I remember, they pretty much drop the issue entirely by the time they get to that stage. She makes it clear that she loves him specifically as he is, and isn't looking at him as a replacement for her father. I never found it weird at all.

Akari, on the other hand.... At least in this case, since she was raised separately from Shuri, you could say the Westermarck effect never kicked in, so it's somewhat plausible. But still feels weird.

< report >As guy above said they pretty much clear up that daddy issue fairly fast. She even comments about not being able to date/kiss him if she saw him as a father figure. Also I think trying to make it more creepy than it was. Assuming kindest male figure in her life was her father, protag was taking that place. But it wasn't until he confessed that she gave any romantic thought and moved away from kind father figure to just kind person.

< report >#8 Who puts her father in the "kind person" box? Nothing wrong with being a kind father. The issue is "Kind father which i have a crush on"

< report >Its actual not uncommon for kids to have crush on parents which they out grow because don't know any better. And is clearly stated she couldn't kiss protag if she saw him as father.

Lots of people grow up with out a positive male influence in life so when they meet some one that fills position they can fit role pretty nice. I have friends remind me of own siblings and parents and get along great.

Not to mention the women that had daddy issues I am sure you have either meet or heard of.

< report >This thread is honestly misleading.
There's absolutely not an ounce of actual interest other than familiar compassion.
It's just used as a joke when Takumi thinks that she might be a brocon. And about the father-con thing, that's non-existent. Almost all anime has kids saying that they want to marry their parents when they grow up, but Akari wasn't even there when she was that little, it's all the delusions of that dad who doesn't accept the fact that Akari is not a baby. (yes, a baby, that's how he treats her)..
