I have a feeling if this guy succeeds in making a hotfix patch, SP won't bother.Last modified on 2018-07-07 at 11:59

Or maybe they planned this knowing the fans will do something about their mess.

What do you expect from a company being run by a lunatic like dovac? Nothing! We should expect nothing from them!

About what are you? Dovac left the company, as I can see? 18+ patch were made by fans?

Dovac never left the company. He got "demoted" from being the CEO, but he's still is an officer and the director of various projects. And coincidentally all the projects he was involved with ended a disaster.

Fanning outrage like this over a perceived wrong (that really isn't anything) makes you just as bad as the worst of the SJW crowd. After all that worry about another Rapelay incident, the irony of the harassment coming from fans themselves isn't very funny.Last modified on 2018-07-07 at 20:01

Sekai Project censored game despite claiming it wasn't censored.
Sekai Project did it w/out informing their partners, who are now having to refund their customers and getting financial and reputatonal losses.
And instead of apologies, explanation and schedule to fix this mess, Sekai Project replied with "Suck shit"

Its amazing that such terribly incompetent and customer-hostile company manages to stay afloat.

#260, not defending anyone but that Twitter account says that it is not a company account and views don't reflect what the company says.
So it's more like "someone who works at Sekai Project said in their own time "suck shit""

SP doesn't give a crap about Maitetsu or their adult audience, believe me, I've even tried talking in their discord server and they DON'T CARE about this, they make up the most fucked up arguments to avoid responsiblity, they are SCAMMERS and you must avoid buying from them at all costs so that they might hopefully at some point exit the market

@261
Dovac is founder, share-holder, director and executive of SP. He's responding to complains of his customers, being one of leaders of the company. Of course its not just private opinion, even if he wants to frame it like that.

That's pretty disgusting, just like the devs of Bio Ware celebrate and mock Total Biscuit's death

doing something like that obviously is going to affect your sales and fans

What about the person who is in charge of steam? The nobody guy, he banned a lot of people randomly and only very few discussions are allowed to be posted on steam

By the way, the guy fixing the game put up a new version of the patch.
link

All missing/censored CG and Emotes are fixed, but it's still missing a few voice lines that were removed so he's still working on it.

By the by, that's just a silly way of trying to avoid responsibility and weaseling out

no serious company would employ someone who insults the customers or even any thing related to their job publicly or rather, that would be enough reason to fire them, morally and legally. Well, not that SP is serious anyway since the page naming staff is password protected~

even if it was not the "company's opinion", having a company employ someone with such an opinion related to their job is as bad.

What about the person who is in charge of steam? The nobody guy, he banned a lot of people randomly and only very few discussions are allowed to be posted on steam
That reminds me, I could have been that nobody though I would not be that stupid and would have rather quit that job. Back when SP seemed to be not that horrible I applied for a position as Community Manager since I did just stop working with EA (since they closed several of their free2play games and I might as well earn money~)... I am now seriously glad that they (I think it was dovac even) did not respond after asking for my Resumé since I sure would not be working with them now.

While I could deal with so much negativity maturely, that negativity being so justified and sure caused by the company for raising expectations and then failing is not what I like to do. I am no M who likes to apologize constantly when I am not at fault for someone who should and that someone sure likely ignores whatever I say (&threatens to fire me if I dare to criticize them), that's the fate of a lowly Community Manager... and I was glad that being a Moderator for that (section of) EA had good coworkers&superiors (though Community Managers were partly interns but also hired from a company which does treat their employees like charcoal).

I bet the guys over at fuwa gonna have this mess fixed and re-translated before the f@cks at SP even touch the files again.
And then they're gonna grab the FuwaNovel fix, change a line or two and present "their" patch. Not the first time and probably not the last

The actual creation of the patch is almost certainly not the bottleneck for SP. It would be largely trivial for them to actually make a patch on their own, so other people doing it first changes nothing.

Not the first time and probably not the last

#286 I think he's talking about KonoSora. Moenovel never added that one to their release though, so...

That said, I wouldn't hold my breath on Fuwa fixing anything. Knowing their translation/hacking community, the fix is going to take at least 2 years and will probably introduce more problems to the game than it actually fixes. If the project leader doesn't go AWOL 1/3 of the way through development, that is.

hat said, I wouldn't hold my breath on Fuwa fixing anything. Knowing their translation/hacking community
That's akin to saying, "Knowing Americans, this individual will do X". It's such a baseless and disconnected leap of logic that it's puzzling why anyone would even say this.Last modified on 2018-07-17 at 22:26

The fix patch already fixes almost everything, anyway. The only thing it doesn't fix are the half-translated lines.

#271 It's legitimately rare to see a Fuwanovel project that actually gets finished and isn't either pure MTL or unedited ESL translation. It has happened before, but past performance is indicative of future results in this case.

Then again, it helps that here they only have to fix some minor technical issues instead of translating/retranslating the entire game from the ground up.

You realize that Fuwanovel is a platform for discussion with a diverse community, right? Consider the following modified statement: "It's legitimately rare to see a [fan translation] project that actually gets finished and isn't either pure MTL or unedited ESL translation. It has happened before, but past performance is indicative of future results in this case." You could insert "Internet fan translation project" or "Reddit fan translation project" and get an equally meaningful/meaningless statement.Last modified on 2018-07-17 at 23:16

Half-translated lines? So everything is translated but very poorly?
I thought that there are some non-translated lines in the "real" 18+ vers.
