< report >I changed r1952 and tons of others literally today, like 11 hours ago. When I did the main titles, I did the releases as well.
I asked for release query for cases where the title already was * but its release was for some reason kept as *. That was the case for r42919 which I found randomly. That prompted my query for the query.
Tomorrow afternoon it will get the daily update and show proper results.Last modified on 2021-06-15 at 22:46

< report >I think people aren't supposed to intendedly delete those traits like "average height" (e.g. u157429's many recent edits), because I saw link.
But I might be misunderstanding, what's the actual policy?

< report >t3314.2440 it's most likely okay to remove them individually. Yorhel just don't want to fill the notification and the edit history that caused by the mass editing script in one go. but it's prefered to do it with another edit just like d10#3.1 says.Last modified on 2021-06-21 at 12:05

< report >Do "All X" tags such as All Adult Heroes apply when there's only one element (Only a Single Hero)? I've seen different interpretations so it might be a good thing to specify it in the tags' description.

< report >Personally, I don't think they do. I've downvoted all x for single heroine games. But I'm curious about a mod answer too.

< report >^I used to do the same. but I stopped after I realized that some "all X" tags doesn't have its "single" counterparts (and it's pretty boorish to have one) e.g. All Older Heroines. we need clarification from mods for this case.Last modified on 2021-06-21 at 17:07

< report >Well, the tags are not opposite each other, so there is no logical reason why they cannot go together.

Admittedly, in the given example, one might wonder if All Adult Heroes or Adult Hero, would be a better complementary tag to Only a Single Hero. However, I personally would probably advocate All Adult Heroes, as it makes immediately clear that all heroes are adults, and it's clear, even if you have failed to notice that he is the only one. Conversely, if you see Adult Hero, but fail to notice Only a Single Hero, you might get the wrong impression.

< report >The logical reason is that "all" implies mutliple. If I was searching for All Older Heroines, I would want to get a game where I'm surrounded by older heroines. There's a lot of such games with one heroine, not that many with a bunch. I thought that's the point of the tag. Not to simply exclude non-applicable heroines, but tell an older heroine lover that this game is a paradise for him.

< report >I think the logical reading would be that, for every heroine in the game, that heroine is adult, regardless of how many there are. Even if there is only one, or none at all. However, that's not very useful for VNDB's purposes. So I think it's a good idea to specify a requirement that there be more than one.

Thanks. But you misspelled on of them. It should be Hindi instead of Hindu link

< report >Regarding Blooming Nightshade and Flowering Nightshade, the releases are currently formatted in two different ways. The first one separates the PC/Android versions, while the latter keeps them together. Which one is more appropriate? It makes sense to be able to select the Android version specifically if you played on that, but on the other hand, it was released together with the PC version.

< report >What do I put for a 4+ age rating? The closest options are either 6+ or all ages.
#622 by fllthdcrb

< report >Huh. I think an age rating that low can only be about whether someone has the mental capacity to comprehend/enjoy/get something out of it, as opposed to e.g. 18+ where supposedly no one younger should be allowed to consume it. I would just put it as all ages, and not worry about it.Last modified on 2021-07-02 at 05:44

< report >How do you take screenshots for Ren'py games? Game is 1920x1080 but it is upscaled, in window mode, to 2377x1338 when under 2560x1440 and downscaled to 1584x891 when scaling my display to 150%. It's impossible to take screenshots for vndb.
Can't even take good screenshots for your personal use because, now, freaking games in fullscreen mode give you screenshots the size of your screen. I hate having ugly upscaled screenshots.

Same for Tyranoshit, they started doing that... I couldn't add the reso to One Night Cross because I get 1931x1108. Another game gave me 1199x900...
Is there even an easy trick to find the native resolution without taking out something like Garbro??
