< report >If it doesn't have the Essence routes, then there's pretty much no point. It might as well be an all ages version of the old MG release.

Also, Yume Haven gives me a MoeNovel vibe for some reason. I'm probably just paranoid.

< report >Really? I heard it's one of the few cases where the H scenes added no real content to the game. And this version has two new routes too.

Yume Haven is a sub-brand of Active Gaming Media, the company that translated The Silver Case. For that at least, the translation seemed decent and they didn't shy away from that game's mature content at all. It had copious amounts of profanity and some violence like any good Suda game should. I doubt they'll do anything more than what's necessary in adapting eroge for Steam.

In this case specifically, they are straight up porting the PS2 version with seemingly no further modification, probably because that's the one version they got the license for. There should be nothing to censor in that release. I really would have preferred Essence+, but maybe they didn't want to do any censorship themselves.Last modified on 2016-10-21 at 07:52

Because they are same people. MoeNovel outsourced translation, support and pretty much everything else to AGM, and its same AGM doing this Yume Haven thing now.

< report >@6 That's interesting. From what dk382 said, it seems like Kono Suba's censorship was mostly on Moenovel's side rather than AGM's. I don't think an 18+ patch is likely, but I doubt they'll censor the kissing scenes or things like that like Moenovel did.

Well, I'm not very interested in Shuffle either way though. I probably won't buy it for a long while if I do eventually buy it.

< report >AGM is basically a huge company who translates a ton of different stuff, a lot of it perfectly acceptably. If they really were responsible for Konosora (is that confirmed?) then it just shows that they're really hit or miss, and probably puts fewer resources into VN translation than for other games.

< report >So I bought this. It's the exact same as the one I already own for PS2, Shuffle! On the Stage. So it has the normal routes + Kareha and Tsubomi with no adult content of course.

It's got a very frustrating UI. Everything is present you come to expect in a visual novel, a backlog, auto and skip functions, it's just they're all hidden in the information menu and require keyboard shortcuts.

I'm excited to play Kareha and Mayumi's routes in English. A few more years and maybe I'll be able to play Essence+ and Love Rainbow.

Though I probably wouldn't care too much about Shuffle either way. :PLast modified on 2016-11-28 at 13:16
